Seattle >Revyve Wine & Vodka Bar
Bar Myx brings the feeling of the old Manray to Belltown. Belltown is full of trendy bars with pretty people, and Bar Myx doesn't skimp in that area. You won't find dancing or a DJ perched spining beats but what Bar Myx does bring to the...mix is a laid back bar with music videos playing in the background. Seriosuly, who has watched a music video in years? Take my advice, coctails + top 40 videos is a great combo.
Revyve is on my list!. Well, this place is on my list of places to hang out now! I've been here a couple times before, and stopped by on Wednesday evening again, and had a Malbec with the brie and fresh fruit. Brie was warm and soft but not gooey--just the way I've always liked it, anyway. Nothing fancy, just right for a snack with a glass of wine. Within a short time, I made two new friends from the neighborhood. I've enjoyed cocktails here before--I do notice that they always give at least a full pour--none of this "weak drinks at happy hour" stuff that's so common other places. I just like this easy and civilized atmosphere--not overbearing, just comfortable and relaxing. I'll be going back!
Not Horrible.....but it could be better.
I've been to this bar a couple of times because a friend wanted to go there. Parking is a total pain with all the one way streets and no parking 4-6 etc.....The drinks are good, but you PAY for them. I don't recall any drinks on the menu other than beer for under $8. They didn't have any happy hour when I went there, i've since heard that they now offer Skyye vodka drinks for $4 during happy hour.....which isn't bad but what if you want whiskey? Anyway, I'm a person who likes to eat while I drink and this place has no kitchen.....hence no real food. They had bread and cheese, olives and mixed nuts ($) but if you're looking for dinner.....don't look at Revyve. Ok this brings me to my next issue.....the name, annoying. It's an odd spelling of a common word which is not necessarily intuitive to the reader, especially if they have bad eyesight like myself. Why not just stick with the "I" and then people won't squint and think its pronounced "Reveeve".
The bar as a whole is kind of strange. It's only one room with like 20 foot ceilings, there are tables and small couches and ottomans. This place needs something. It's got a very cold feel to it, definitely not warm and inviting which attracts me to a bar due to our crappy seattle winters. The bathroom is a shared bathroom with other businesses in the building, that part turned out to be ok since it was clean and smelled of baking bread from Subway next door.....and since I was hungry I left Revyve and went there. This bar isn't horrible, but it is pricey, and has a cold feel to it. The staff was nice and fairly attentive, but hey, at $8 a drink they should be.
If you want good happy hour prices and food, this isn't the place.
Excellent Belltown Wine and Vodka Bar. Word spreads fast anytime a hip new bar springs up in Belltown. After hearing from numerous friends about this relatively ?new? Belltown, establishment, I just had to try it. I have since been back several times as this place is quickly becoming a favorite for after work, happy hour outings. The happy hour prices are very fair, especially for Belltown, and the light cuisine including various pizzas, cheese plates and assorted deli and cured meats are a good compliment to their generous selection of wine. I like the location as it is situated in Belltown, yet is far enough away from crowded 1st avenue and the sometime ruckus crowds that can congregate there. It is situated right across from the sculpture park, which, coupled with the interior and drink selection, makes it an ideal place to take a date. The interior has a modern feel and includes a relatively large bar and several tables. Unlike similar wine bars in Beltown, there is a lounge area with couches and cocktail tables in the back, perfect for those seeking a more intimate experience. I have found the clientele to be friendly and the service is always excellent. After going in just a few times the bartenders already know me by name.
Colorful addition to Sculpture Park/Belltown area. I went to the Superbowl party at Revyve, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I like this place more each time I stop in. It was a little empty at first, but with added artwork, lights, and more people each time, it is getting more festive! On Super Sunday, I was going to just stop for a drink, but ended up staying for the whole game, plus more. Ended up getting a salad, then pizza, too...and of course, some cocktails! One thing I like about it is that there are places where I can converse more in private with friends, and also more open socializing areas. I spent part of the time in the living-room-style area talking with a close friend, then later moved to the bar area, where I had a great time mixing and mingling and meeting new people. I am going to remember this place for the tourist/visitors season, as I always get lots of friends in from out of town who I take on tours of the city, and this is in a perfect spot to stop on the way down Broad from Seattle Center toward the Sculpture Park (or after).
My Secret Find in Belltown.
Been keeping my eye on this place around the corner from me since it opened late last year. With each visit I have noticed improvements with the service, prices and food selection. Every new business has a few issues to work out, and it appears that Revyve has done just that. At first, I wanted to keep this
'secret find" all to myself, but then quickly realized that word was already getting out. More often now I go in and find a larger and more eclectic crowd of people to socialize with. It is decidedly more upscale than other wine bars in the area and definitely has a more urban feel than most, yet is quiet enough to actually hold a conversation without screaming over the music. I travel quite extensively and the selection of wines are comparable with similar bars in much larger cities, and the prices at Happy Hour are very good. I also like the location, being a little off the beaten path of crowded 1st Ave.
Off the beaten path in Belltown.
Some friends and I stumbled upon this bar. And, wow, what a great find! The design is great, even though there is perhaps too much room behind the bar. I noticed several people who seemed to have great rapport with the bartenders. Perhaps they were regulars, which we certainly plan to be. The volume of the music was perfect for conversations; not too loud. I also appreciate the reasonably priced and very good wine selection. A couple of us had the panini, which seemed very cheap for the amount of food.
It's interesting that one of the posters commented on the restrooms being outside the space. Not sure why it matters. The restrooms are only a few feet down the hall outside the side door. The post seems very similar to another guy who posted something similar about this place on another social networking site. Maybe the poster has a complex about restrooms.
Anywho, go enjoy this place! Highly recommended!
Lives up to its name! Relax and take a breather. This is a great new place right across from the Sculpture Park in Belltown. I've been there several times already, including their Inauguration and Super Bowl parties. Relaxed atmosphere, good selection of US and international wines, along with a full bar. The Malbec is my favorite. The art is an interesting new addition. I found it an easy place to meet friends and not have the music drown out conversation. Good balance of individual attention to service and leaving you to your conversations with friends.
REVYVE!!! Hot new wine and vodka bar in Belltown.. I absolutely love this new hot spot in Belltown. It is a true neighborhood bar where you can hang out with your friends or meet the neighbors. It is a wine and vodka bar with light cuisine. Friendly staff, stylish decor, great art and comfortalbe lounge areas to relax. We were there to watch the Super Bowl and a good time was had by all. I have been there several times and have told many friends about it.
Was not Impressed. Seemed like a weird location. Did not get the best vibe. The food was alright. Will probably not go again or refer to friends. To many good restaurants in area to patrion Revyve.
