HORRIBLE!! Bad business practices and a bad massage!. HORRIBLE!!(read my story)!! I went in for a massage to try to help relieve a Migraine and sooth my neck pain and will never go back. The masseuse did NOT take into account anything I put on the form or said during the massage. I explained multiple times I wanted the focus to be on my Neck and head and she spent about 5 minutes of the hour on those areas total. In fact I even listed that I did NOT want my feet touched/massaged on the form and she spent half of the time holding/stretching my feet. When I spoke up she replied how I should trust her and she specializes in Neck and Headaches. Afterward my Migraine was even worse than when I came in and I was told I needed to sit and drink a glass of water in the lobby before leaving so that I was fully awake and adjusted to the light again. This was just a way for them to spend 20 minutes forcing a Yearly Membership program down my throat. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and try getting one more massage before writing it off completely. I made my appointment for one more massage but they kept pushing the membership on me and how it was so much cheaper and a better deal. I kept saying that I wanted to think about it and discuss the best way to treat my Migraines with my doctor before committing to program but they were relentless. I was in such excruciating pain that after the 6th time saying no finally gave in and signed up. It was the only thing I could do to get out of the building. I purposely asked about a cancellation window where I could get out of it and wouldn't be charged any fees. I was told that I had 72hrs and that after that I would need a note from my doctor saying that it was no longer advised to continue massage therapy to get out of the contract. A day and a half later I called and told them I wanted to cancel. After 10 minutes of being pushed to keep the membership I was told "you physically have to come in tonight and bring the membership brochure back to cancel" (It was just a brochure and 4 pieces of paper, there were no membership gifts/perks, just the contract paper). I explained I couldn't drive because of my migraine and that the 72hr window should give me till the next day if I truly had to bring back this 4 page brochure. I was put on hold and then told a few minutes later that would be fine if I came tomorrow. I knew it would be a hassle if I waited so I arranged a ride down there to cancel that night. When I got there I said I was there to cancel and handed her the brochure. She replied "I don't need that" and went on to try to re-sell me on the membership. So I was told that I had to bring the membership brochure back and when I got there found out it was not actually needed and I didn't need to come in at all. This was obviously a huge inconvenience for me and my driver, especially with how bad my head hurt. They did everything they could to prevent me from getting out of this and I couldn't believe that I was forced to physically come down and cancel in the state I was in. The massage was terrible, they didn't listen, they forced a membership down my throat, and cost me time, money, and severe agony to cancel. This is a HORRIBLE business practice and I hope nobody else ever is put through the pain I was put through. I will be reporting them to the BBB. Be careful

I had a massage scheduled but when I went to start my car the battery was dead and no one around to help so there was no way to keep the appointment, and when I called I just assumed they would try and work with me but instead they stuck to their rigid policy and charged me anyway. I was going to try and come in later in the day but they were going to double charge me. They did this once before when I was sick......I know they have this policy but you would think under certain circumstances they would bend a little. This business owner is not the kind of person I would want to do business with again. He was friendly when he wanted me to join but afterwards it was all about business and not the customer. He treated me very rudely and was very condescending. I will cancel my membership as soon as all my massages are used up and no more Massage Envy......

No communication, No explaining about 30 days cancellation... I am very disheartened on how I was treated today. I am struggling with no job for over 1 year and had to cancel. They said I have 3 massages left but did not tell me I had to use it in 30 days. I am in severe pain and called today and they said sorry we cannot give you those massages. BE AWARE - WHEN YOU CANCEL... YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF IF YOU DON'T USE YOUR LEFT OVER MASSAGES WITHIN 30 DAYS. IT WOULD OF BEEN NICE IF THEY WOULD OF TOLD ME. DONT GET RIPPED OFF... LIKE I DID... I AM STILL STRUGGLING WITH MY FINANCES AFTER TAKING CARE OF MY FATHER WHEN HE GOT ILL. THERE IS NO UNDERSTANDING IN THIS CORPORATE WORLD WE LIVE IN NOR ANY COMPASSION...Check online Yelp which shows others that had same problem ! Also PNWMarketplace and maps.google shows various complaints.
Renton Landing is my new home!. OMG! I love this location. I have been to at least 5 other Massage Envy's in my time and I can finally say I found a home. I refused to join on the membership at any of the other locations because it was average at best. Not the case at the Renton Landing clinic. The front desk staff is a pleasure to interact with and all of the therapists I've seen so far are incredible. I have had a pain in my lower back for a long time, finally, when I booked my appointment here, the girl I spoke to on the phone let me know she has personall seen all of the therapists on staff and that she could hand-pick the best fit for me based on my needs. Talk about customer service! I saw Marie and I just love her... little did I know what I had been missing is some work on the good ol' glutes to help my back pain. So, thank you to the well-trained and professional staff at Renton Landing, and thank you for relief I've finally accomplished. I joined on the membership at this visit and I'm so glad I did. I see Marie twice per month now. I'll be raving about my experience to everyone I know... because the staff here always treat me with the utmost of respect. Now that I'm a member, they don't forget about me just because I already signed up. They give me the experience each time I come in, not to mention, they know me by name. Love it!
Amazing and only $57 for a 90 minute!. I've had a few massages before but when I had a sore neck for 3 days I knew I was due. I called the location and asked a little about their pricing and how everything worked and was amazed when the girls over the phone told me it was only 57 for a 90min session. When booking my appt they asked what I was looking for out of my massage and placed me with a therapist that they felt could help me. They told me to arive 15 mins before my massage but I eneded up coming in just 10 mins till but the paperwork was simple enough to complete in 5. My massage was the best ive ever had and the therapist even recommended when I should come in again. When I got to the front the person that checked me out was very nice and asked me about joining their program, as much as I would have loved to I dont have the money to get regular massage. She told me they would love to have me either way, which I was happy to hear because I will be back. I recommend this massage envy to everyone, I havent heard many good things baout the others but this location is wonderful =]]
