Editorial Review for Les Deux – by Michael Martin
In Short
L.A.'s hottest restaurant of the '90s has managed to keep it going after all these years. With a soft reopen in 2006, the Parisian-style main room still features familiar peach-tinted mirrors and curvy-black architecture accented by Louis XVI candelabras. An added Ultra Lounge offers a dimly lit bar area with overhead projection of foreign films and vintage fashion shows to DJ-spun house music. Young, waifish scenesters make a beeline for the gorgeously expansive patio, which remains the club's best place to see and be seen.

i don't care what you're new "idea" or "gimmick" for a club is, there will never be anything that can replace the experience of Les Deux. If you don't know the right people (or aren't willing to drop some serious cash) you're not getting in. This is just the "LA club" experience... it is simply a staple of the Los Angeles nightlife culture. I frequent this club... I'm here 4 times a week no joke. The Djs are always spinnin' something new, the bartenders are beautiful and attentive, and the people are drop dead gorgeous and down to earth. Getting in can be a hassle... which is why I've decided to share this experience with you. I have a list here many nights of the week... and I can help get you in so long as you acknowledge that there is a strict "door discretion". If you'd like guest list for this club send me an email w/ "les deux guestlist" in the subject and include what date, how many people in your party, and contact info for me to get back to you. my email is robotlove69@gmail com
Pros: classy ambiance, attentive bartenders, attractive crowd, and a hidden upstairs lounge
Cons: parking (arrive early and find some on hollywood blvd), strict door (makes for quality)
