Karate West is the Best!. Sensei Andrew at Karate West is an amazing teacher! He is a great example for his students to look up to, and he makes learning karate so much fun! I feel so blessed to be a part of the Karate West community. It's such a great place to be!

The Best Decision of My Life!. I have been a student with Karate West for a little over 2 years. I first came to Karate West as a nanny taking the kids I nanny for to their class. I would sit and listen to the Life Skills being presented, practiced throughout class, and when we went home they were implimented by the kids. The instruction by Sensei Andrew is awesome, he works with every student on their level and challenges them to improve their skill. The boys I work with love Sensei Andrew and continue to improve, not just as martial artists, but as people. They show more effort with school work, their focus is better, they are even more respectful, and they stand up for what is right. As I sat watching class, I knew I no longer got to be a nanny watching karate class...but a nanny joining a karate class. :) It was the best decision of my life. I love Karate West, I love what we stand for....personal achievement. Karate West has made all the difference in my life and in the lives of all of our students, families, and community!

A really fun place. I've been going to Karate West for about 3 years. It's a great school with really good teachers. They are really helpful and they want you to succeed. I have lost a lot of weight which I'm happy about. I just really like this sport more than I expected and I feel good knowing I could protect myself. I know karate will be something I do forever.

Inspiring Teachers. Whether it's an academic school or a martial arts school, really good teachers make all the difference. Sensei Andrew and the other teachers at Karate West Mercer Island care about making every student feel important.

Karate West is incredible. It's hard to imagine my life without Karate West. I have been with them for over six years and they have helped me do so many things in my life that I would have never thought possible. Karate West is an incredible place!

Best Experience Ever. Karate West is simply an amazing environment. Sensei Andrew is more than just an instructor, mentor, and friend. He is an active member of the Mercer Island community. Andrew has spent many hours volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club and for the Mercer Island Parks and Recs Programs. He also supports his youth students by providing motivational talks in their elementary, middle, and high schools. He can be counted on counsel students, making certain that they are giving the level of respect and effort that is expected in all aspects of their lives. Andrew has provided safety workshops for Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and various church groups. Karate West has been a proud sponsor for the Mercer Island School District and has held fund raisers for various PTA groups for years. The Karate West demonstration team has been showcased at International Night, MIPA Circus, the Day of Play, etc… and is inspiring with their ability and demeanor. Karate West and Sensei Andrew are a wonderful addition to the Island.

An Inspiring Place to Be. Karate West is truly an exceptional martial arts school. The staff are open and warm and truly care about their students and their families. Sensei Andrew is a very talented martial artist and instructor and knows how to inspire his students to be their best both in the dojo as well as in the rest of their lives. He provides excellent training in martial arts, while making sure the atmosphere in the class is always positive and fun. I recommend the school to everyone I know!

Sensei Andrew is a Natural!. The Head Instructor, Sensei Andrew is someone who has found and answered his calling in life. He's a natural born teacher. On top of that, he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. As a matter of fact, that goes for the entire staff. They make everyone feel welcome – like you're family. My son and I both take classes at Karate West. We wouldn’t train anywhere else.
