Wow!... CSMobile did an excellent job of exemplifying what we, the customers, have to deal with so often at the 25th NE and 35th NE Desert Sun Tanning Salons in Seattle! I have also tanned at the Salons on Queen Anne and Shoreline, but have not dealt with this type of inconsideration... where the staff forgets that the customer comes first because they are the $ that keep DS open. Also, gracious kindness will go much farther towards a sale than childish attitude.
Oh, and the reason SuperShopperOffspring kept going back..... I would guess it was to collect the funds that the staff of Desert Sun owed her! ...really bad business to leave the responsibility of travel and collection on the customer that has been cheated.
Maybe the management of these two stores will reconsider the present training program of the staff of Desert Sun Tanning Salons on 25th NE and 35th NE in Seattle WA... these young people need some professional training in Customer Service, Sales and Account Data Input.
Thank you SuperShopperOffspring; I will be asking for a receipt! ...In fact, this should be a part of the company's policy anyway.
I love the Desert Sun stores and hope for the best in the future.... in the retail business, the best ALWAYS starts with "Customer First"! :)!
Lol I can't believe how much time people have on there hands. This is in response to the rant and raving I'm going to guess middle aged women. What I don't get is why would you keep going back if you have such a hugeee problem with the salons? I mean does it make you feel better to rant and rave as if your blog affects business? Desert Sun is a sales job and it must be working because they are the largest tanning chain in the united states out sister salon palm beach tan included. The girls at desert sun do there job and that's to sell to the customer while upstanding customer service. You have way to much time on your hands lady!!!
Deals and Steals...they took my money and lied.. I've been a customer for over two years and everything was fine until recently. The corporation now has franchises and they back stab each other and the customer like evil step siblings. I (thought) I bought a package at the newly franchised Wedgwood branch and was later told when I went to use it at U-dist that it wasn't honored there. So I go back to Wedgwood to use it and am informed the salesgirl made a mistake and I was undercharged (not my mistake). So my option is to take less tans than I paid for OR PAY MORE FOR WHAT I WAS PROMISED. Typically, if an employee makes a mistake it's not the customer who is punished/ripped off. I ask for a refund and all told the corporation does not offer refunds, but wait, THE EMPLOYEE MISREPRESENTED THE PACKAGE TO ME AND TOOK MY MONEY. I go to the u-dist location to when I'm given some initial sympathy and apologies for what the evil stepsister salon in Wedgwood did, then they try to sell me another package for MORE MONEY! I cannot believe this company and it's sales staff! Lesson learned: get a copy of all sales agreements and print out or written agreement of number of tans and keep track (or they will delete them from your account). Better yet, DONT SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING!!!
