Horrible Service!!.
I had a terrible experience here! Do not waste your time and money at this restaurant!
After getting seated at their empty restaurant during prime time dinner hours, I got absolutely no service. No menu, no water, nothing.
One staff member talked on the phone for the entire time, the other looked at my table from behind the kitchen and did nothing.
I left after 15 min of zero interaction. I am pissed since I paid $25 for an online coupon that I could not use because I didn't get any service! Absurd.…
Rude Service. The location and the food at Gambas were decent enough for me to give this place a few tries, but the service was rude enough, often enough, that finally I gave up. Please note that three of the 5-star reviews for this restaurant were posted on the same date. Also, two people each rated it 5 stars twice. Out of not very many total reviews at all. Sketchy!…
Seattles Best Kept Secret For Sushi and Catering.
I have been eating at Gamba's Japanese and French Restaurant since they opened. I initially wrote several positive reviews and continued to eat there since their debut in Seattle's Bell Town.
Now the favor was returned to me. I was fortunate to get Gamba's to cater my wedding dinner in Des Moines, Wa. for 175 guests. Consisting of 5 course's and plenty of drinks all prepared and served by his staff.
Tomato Spinach Salad w/ meat's and Cheeses,
Salmon Tar Tar with his homemade ponzu sauce,
Deep Fried Las Vegas Roll (new to his menu)
Striped Bass w/ asparagus (also new)
and finally his special Rib Eye Steak.
Then there were multiple Vegetarian Dishes as well.
How is that for a wedding dinner and to be served to 175 people as well as all the wine and other beverages.
This dinner went off with out a single flaw. CONGRATULATIONS Gamba and Staff.
The food and beverages were served on time, cooked to perfection. We were so impressed that a staff member of the Landmark on the Sound where we were married, asked for his card because she is also getting married at this local and felt this was the smoothest and best wedding dinner she has ever seen. (She does this for a living)!!
Now that we are back from a month long honeymoon, it seems all we hear about is Gambas Catering. Uhm, what happened to the rest of our wedding???? Ok Gamba, YOU STOLE THE SHOW ONCE AGAIN.
Thank You Gamba, Sally, Jack, Ariela, and Staff for all you did. I made the best decision to use you for my wedding. -- Thank You All So Much ; Jon and Ines

Authentic Sushi with reasonable price.
I grew up in Japan and have had a lot of sushi in different cities. Sometimes my friends ask me "where is good sushi restaurant in Seattle for you?" Every time I need to carefully think about it
because I don't want them to spend too much money on one dinner also I don't want them to have fake sushi either. Now I found the best answer for them. Gambas in Belltown is the one.
Why?
Their sushi is beautifully arranged on white plate with bamboo leave like zen design. The piece of sushi is perfect size and carefully made by the chef. The taste is absolutely good. In addition to sushi, they have a variety of dishes and drinks including real sake. Plus, I like gentle manners of people working in the restaurant.
If you want to try sushi almost for the first time, try their happy hour from 4pm to 7pm on Mon. - Sat. I was surprised with the cheap price for that quality sushi.
I don't know why Gambas is not well known in downtown Seattle. Maybe because this restaurant is relatively new and the appearance from the street is not so spectacular.
If you want to enjoy good sushi without spending much, Gambas is the place. Trust me.…
Inexpensive Great Sushi.
The Chef Gamba, made this place very special. He seems to truley care about the food he is serving you. It is very fresh, good color, great tasting.
His Happy Hour is crazy!?! $1 Sushi $2 Sushi mi Rolls?? Beer as low as $2 !! You could have 2 beers with 2 rolls and 2 pieces of Sushi for $10.
If you are out for dinner or drinks and would like to enjoy good sushi at a very low price check this place out.
Oh they do have the best Calamari anywhere as someone else mentioned.
Thanks to all the employees at Gamba's for bringing class at affordable prices to Belltown. -- Jon Pierre…
