Great birthday dinner!
by bvnmc at Citysearch
We went to celebrate my son's 15th birthday with a party of 9 and had a wonderful time! The service was excellent The hibachi chef was very good and entertaining He made an amazing flaming onion volcano that the kids loved! The food was very good and plentiful. We did not have any of the sushi but the teriyaki, yakisoba, gyoza and hibachi seafood, steak and shrimp were very good. We all had a terrific time and will be back. $250 for 9 people including tip was pretty good as well for a special birthday celebration. By the way to a previous reviewer,I am not an owner or employee of the restaurant and I think it is a good restaurant and will go back!
- Pros: Clean, nicely decorated, prompt service, fun tasty hibachi
- Cons: Salad dressing
Fun place to go for as a group

The owners did a nice job turning the Old Country Buffet into a hibachi steak house and sushi place. My son loved going to watch the chef and ate things he normally would have turned up his nose at. We always have a nice time there and groups had fun watching the show. As for the sushi, it is average. The crab is artificial, so if you are gluten-free avoid all rolls that include crab. Certainly acceptable and we visit when we want sushi but don't have time to drive into Seattle.
- Pros: Fun presentation for kids and adults alike
- Cons: Can be noisy
There's never any cars parked out front

I've been in there because I saw how many outstanding reviews were on this site and I have to tell you this is a very average steakhouse with nothing particularly special about the service or the quality of food given the pricepoints they are at.
I would venture to say that the owners come on this site and post counterfeit reviews to keep business going.
Keep driving into downtown. You want a decent meal and great service I'd go to the Brooklyn, not this place.
- Pros: a lot of really good reviews
- Cons: not one bad one?
Great, fresh sushi

I live close by and have now been to Fuji twice. Both times, I've gone for the sushi, which is served in a seperate area than the noisy habachi room. Even though it is seperate, however, there is no real physical barrier so the noise can carry. On a recent Friday night, the sushi area was not too croweded, but there were some very noisy crowds in the habachi area. Both times I've been to Fuji the seafood has been very fresh, and the price is very reasonable.
- Pros: Parking, good food & service, clean
- Cons: can get noisy
