Lens crafters sucks

by raze123765 at Citysearch

I went to lens crafters in northgate for the simple purpose of getting a perscription for contacts and I don't know why but they said that I was not allowed to order my contacts and that I had to order a trial pair first. Now, I have to go back to agian and pay money on the bus agian. Not only that but they charged 165$. It costs 60$ at Wallmart. I will never go back there agian and in the mean time I'm just going to go to the millionares club and get it done for free or something but this is a waste of time.

Skip this place!

by Blosom at Citysearch

The service was ok, except I think they are clearly more sales than service. AND WAYY overpriced! If you have options, would suggest you really consider what you are getting.

My prescription was not accurate, still blurry vision and the suggestion was that maybe I needed more than one pair of glasses, for each type of eye glass use that I have. I have never had a eyewear store suggest anything so ridiculous!

Far better than expected

by Rhod at Citysearch

I looked up the address for this Lenscrafters, came across the negative reviews and almost reconsidered my decision to go there for prescription sunglasses. I'm glad I followed through. When I arrived, I was greeted by one customer service rep (of the 4 very willing to assist me), and she helped me pick out frames that fit my face very well. I'm extremely picky and tried on just about every pair in the place, and she was incredibly helpful and patient, while also helping other customers. The other employees were also professional and helpful. Once I finally picked frames, my new shades were done in 35 minutes. They also had a half price lens promotion going on, which was a nice bonus.

Expensive eye exams and HORRIBLE customer service!

by Diamond Nurse at Citysearch

I regret getting my eye exam with lenscrafters at Northgate mall. Even though I have a full coverage medical insurance, I realized that their eye exam was very expensive. Their retail price for a six month supply of contact lens cost $100 while in other places like Costco only cost $30.00. I just found out the price difference today ;(

On top of that, their customer service was HORRIBLE! The two medical assistant or lab technician girls were very UNPROFESSIONAL! One of them was this short asian girl and a chubby white girl who kept laughing the whole time--both of them kind of like flirting with the men around them. This eye clinic was a JOKE! Please be professional around your customers and flirt all you want when customers are not in front of you.

I'm never going back to Lenscrafter after this experienced.

Horrible experience

by klhc at Citysearch

I am still waiting for a pair of glasses that I ordered a couple of months ago. When I call they say it's the labs fault or "you have a difficult prescription" Apparently they had no trouble immediately charging my credit card the $600 when they promised me that I would have them in 7-10 days. Not once has anyone at lens crafters ever called me back. I always have to call multiple times even to get their latest justification. They obviously have some serious issues with customer service and they seem unable to deliver the glasses that I paid for. I want to warn others not to pay for glasses before actually getting them because this lens crafters cannot deliver.

  • Pros: None unless you like being robbed
  • Cons: They quickly take your money but don't deliver glasses
