Go see Shayna! Se's AMAZING!!!. My daughter went to her very FIRST formal dance last Saturday, for U Prep HS. She doesn't actually go to the school, so she was pretty nervous that she would fit in.

Well, she not only fit in - ALL the girls asked her WHO styled her HAIR! Shayna did an AMAZING job, on hair which is like mine - limp, doesn't hold a curl, and is EXTREMELY hard to work with.

The homecoming dance was held on an Argosy Cruise ship on Puget sound, complete with the rain, wind, and cold weather Seattle is famous for. We were really worried that her hair wouldn't hold up in the conditions. But it DID! It looked just as GOOD at midnight, as it did at 4:00 pm, when we left the salon!!!

There's a FIRST!! Lol! Shayna did SUCH an amazing job, we can't WAIT to have her cut our hair, and maybe a color for me, as well.

The salon itself is close to EVERYTHING downtown, and is clean, bright, and friendly. There was abundant public (cheap) parking available near the salon, we parked less than 1/2 a block away, with many other spots open on the same street!

I will update this after our next visit(s) - we will DEFINITELY be going back, for SURE!! For cuts, a color for me, and maybe even one for my daughter. We'll be going back, and SOON! We can't WAIT, either, It'll be SOON!!! It was TOTALLY worth our time to go there. Wish we had someone like Shayna here on Mercer Island!

Bottom line - for special events - book an appt. with Shayna, if she's available. You will be SO happy!!! We sure were!

Not Coming Again. I've been seeing Steven for a while. I came to his new salon a few weeks ago to be surprised by quite a few changes. He use to do mantenance cuts, well a very snobby, rude, unsympathetic blonde woman who checked me out alerted me of the new changes where he wouldn't be doing this anymore, she seemed annoyed that she even had to explain anything to me. She acted overwelmed and stressed out as well! It looked like she had no idea how to ring up my service, yet made me feel an inch tall like I was taking advantage of Steven for something he did for all his clients. What was she doing there? Driving Steven's customers away is what. Do all your clients a favor and lose the crazy mean receptionist lady.

Bridget is Here!. Bridget Kerin from Split Ends is now at the Steven Barrett Salon, I finally tracked her down! I've been going to Bridget for years. She does an amazing job on my color and cut, turns out perfect every time! I would recommend her to anyone.
