Best Place to Suffer Through a 90 Minute Class
by jas19 at Citysearch
Urban Yoga Spa is totally beautiful. Really clean, modern and nice. You'd think with 20 sweating people in the 95+ degree room, it would smell awful but it doesn't. The instructors are very knowledgeable, nice and help you through the class. Its super motivating and the perfect space for hot yoga. Only cons- its a little expensive and parking sucks. But definitely worth a try- especially if you're into yoga.
Yoga Oasis

Having recently relocated to Seattle from a very yoga friendly region where I belonged to a Yoga Works studio, I spent a few weeks exploring every yoga studio within reasonable distance from work (downtown) or my home (West Seattle). I'd almost given up when I found Urban Yoga. One class was all it took, I marched my very sweaty, exhausted but mildly euphoric (in only the way that a great yoga workout can make you feel) feeling self to the front desk and bought their two month unlimited package (what a great deal!). As soon as that's done I'm going for the annual unlimited, which is something I've never done before, it's just that good. I can't get enough. The instructors are all fantastic, I have to say that Jo is my favorite. They're very encouraging and supportive with beginners etc. Class schedules are convenient, there's always enough room (sometimes it's tight but they'll make you a spot no matter what).
- Pros: You sweat, a lot. Great staff. Clean, comfortable.
My newest find!
by Nico at Citysearch
I've always been hesitant on doing yoga because I couldn't understand doing a work out without getting your heart rate up. Well I got talked into attending a class with a friend at Urban Yoga and couldn't believe how challenging it was. Not only is it the best downtown location but a very cool and non- trendy place to go. I absolutely love yoga now and will continue getting better. It is kinda pricey but well worth it! Next HOT yoga!
- Pros: Great location
- Cons: expensive
Great yoga studio
by livinginseattle at Citysearch
The downtown location is very convenient. The spa, locker room, and yoga studios are very clean. They provide locks, you can rent towels, and buy drinks. They also have shower facilities. It's a very welcoming atmosphere even for beginners. They have great yoga class packages. I also go to the spa frequently and Maggie does the best manicure in town hands down. The owner, Kathy, is super friendly and down to earth, which is also is reflected in the staff. Hot yoga will kick your butt, but you'll thank it every time.
- Pros: Location, clean, lots of classes
