I LOVE RA. Amazing service! I came in because someone convinced me that doing my hair myself would turn out great. Well needless to say my blonde hair (that I was just trying to lighten a little) turned out RED! I am NOT a good red head. So a friend told me to call her stylist (Yasmeen) and make an appointment to have it fixed. From the moment I walked in the service was great, I waited for nothing and even as I exited the coat room my coffee was already waiting for me. Ah and even the sinks are amazing, no more having to slouch down to the sink, now it adjusts to fit youand don't forget the reclining chair with a footrest . Oh my gosh I did not want to move! So my hair turned out better than I had even hopped. Oh man to look in the mirror and see my golden shinny hair back instead of the embarrassing rusty redI've learned my lesson. I will totally be a returning client and I totally would recommend Yasmeen, and the entore Staff to my friends and family.…
Poor customer service.
I have been to this salon several times, for cut and color. My experience has varied-- I've been patient, because I've liked the stylist (Yasmeen), and was eager to stay with a place for a while.
Following two recent experiences, however, I won't be going back. First, I called to cancel during a snowstorm. The salon was closed anyway but a receptionist answered remotely and re-scheduled for 9 am on Sunday. I arrived then-- no one was there. I waited until 9:15-- still dark and empty. When I called later the receptionist told me they couldn't have scheduled my appointment for that time, as the salon doesn't open until 10. No apology-- just the facts.
At my next appointment I was told that Yasmeen would be working on two clients at the same time (for $58 I get to share a stylist). She'd wash my hair then leave to take care of the other woman, then return, etc. Because I only wanted a trim I didn't question it. My mistake. Perhaps that's the reason why I left with messy razor work, way too much texturizing, and an overall uneven haircut.…
Cares about Customers.
I posted a review here about my not-so-great experience and a girlfriend's awful experience with Ra. Since my experience, the store has undergone a change in management. It's obvious that they care
deeply about their customers, because I recieved a call right away from the salon manager.
She asked me about my experience and my girlfriend's, and she talked with me about how they could make it up to both of us. I was really touched that they would go so far (many businesses would have just written us off).
Hair is always a touchy subject with us ladies, and upsets are bound to happen. But it's nice to know that Ra Salon cares enough make things as right as they possibly can. :)…
Clueless in customer service. The second time I went to see Yasmine as she was finishing her previous appt. The girl at the front desk said she was finishing up. After 35 minutes of waiting I had enough. She said sorry and it should only be a few more minutes. THATS IT! No offer to reschedule proactively, no offer of a free haircut or discount, just sorry and that her previous client had enought hair for 3 people and she didn't see me come in... Yasmine called me after I walked out and she said the same thing; "sorry." Nothing like please come back in so I can make this right, or anything. Lost a customer for good because no customer service or effort was put forth.…
Horrible. I frankly don't understand why this place would receive good reviews. I had an appt for a facial at 9:00 AM, and showed up about 15 minutes early (as most people do for that type of service to relax beforehand). The salon was closed until 9:05 when they finally opened up their doors. I went to check-in at the front and the receptionist game me a blank look...no greeting, no apology. The service itself was very average and the atmosphere was a bit dingy. Save your $ and go elsewhere!!!…
