Almost on par with our favorite spot in Rome!.
Four stars! We needed a dessert for our wedding dinner and since we ordered takeout from Swingside, wanted to stay with the Italian theme. Initially we thought of Molly Moon's, but then I recalled seeing Fainting Goat the last time I had passed through Wallingford.
Three of us trooped over for a taste test. Oh boy, it was the mother of all taste tests! The woman behind the counter was very helpful and friendly and explained that they used goat milk for their Gelato and they had both regular and seasonal flavors. Once we started tasting, she made suggestions and we ended up trying about 8 or so flavors. All were truly sublime, almost on par with our favorite Gelato spot in Rome. We ended up taking 4 flavors home: Tiramisu, Biscotto, Chocolate and Hazelnut. We also tried pistachio, salted caramel (very good, a much more delicate salt flavor than Molly Moon's ice cream flavor of the same name), pink grapefruit (AMAZING) and several others.
We'll be back soon, this place is wonderful!
