Tacos Al Pastor are Phenomenal!. I visited Laredos for the first time the other night. I had the Tacos Al Pastor. They were incredible. The carmelized pineapple added a delicious sweet/tangy flavor to the meat. I liked them so much, I ordered a second helping. I was also surprised by the great atmosphere. There were a number of big screen tvs playing and great music. Seems like it would be a good spot to watch a sporting event. I will definitely be back!

Godawgs, thanks! We work hard at the al pastor, its a daily labor of love. The prep time is pretty intense and has a special secret that not alot of people know about. The marinade recipe was smuggled out of a small stand that serves al pasor only in PV Mexico. One of the servers has a brother who works there and is the only guy the owner lets see the recipe. No joke. Al Pastor at Laredos taste better than most in the city because of the marinade (the only ones that I think are equall or better are the guys in front of the red door in fremonts sunday market....shhhh) Thanks for the support!

Avoca (I’ll have a)… Avocado Margarita Please!. Let’s face it… VEIL was a FAIL – too snooty for Queen Anne and that’s saying a lot.

Laredos Grill is a welcome replacement to the hill, offering decent Tex Mex fare. Somewhere in between Azteca and Peso’s… the menu here is limited in terms of options as well as execution. The food seems to have declined in quality since Laredos opened its doors – these days it is hit or miss. You can’t go wrong with Tacos Al Pastor (think taco truck) or Enchiladas Bandaras. The larger dinner portions however, seem more ‘a la carte’ than entrée even though they come with black beans and rice.

Laredos has a fun ambiance and the space makes a good gathering place to hang out, particularly during Happy Hour – there is the standard early evening (4-6 pm) and late night (10 pm -close, they bumped it up from 9 pm recently). Beware you don’t OD on the chips and salsa! The service is attentive and friendly so your drink will always stay full. Speaking of drinks – yes, the much hyped avocado margarita (think adult smoothie) deserves its ballyhooed hype so give one a try! If you’re watching the calories, forgo the guac and order of few of the margs – your belly and your buds will be happier you did.
