Perhaps my new favorite restuarant.. The plum bistro is good for every meal whether that is brunch, lunch, dinner or just appetizers and deserts. I hear they have a new happy hour as well. They seem to always be open. They also serve the most delicious water-perhaps it has cucumber in it to keep it cool. There is so much variety and I love the mac n yease. Everyone I have taken here has greatly enjoyed both vegan and non vegan alike. The thanksgiving day special dinner was superb as well. Prices can be high at dinner as this is an upscale restaurant, but save money by going for brunch or lunch, or just go for some mac n yease and cheesecake like I like to do. I plan to frequent this restuarant a lot in the future and it has even inspired me to check out the UW hillside quickie which is owned by the same people.
Citysearch Editorial Review. Seattle's already known for being a vegetarian-friendly city, but this all-vegan Capitol Hill cafe takes being an herbivore to a whole new level. Where some restaurants offer up leafy salads and bland piles of steamed vegetables, Plum Bistro (run by the same folks behind Hillside Quickie) has a menu filled with hearty fare like po' boys, burgers and their signature "mac 'n' yease," a surprisingly delicious concoction that is so good it's hard to believe it's cheese-less. The space--airy and bright, with reclaimed wood tables and a single booth for larger parties--suits the organic-but-practical vibe set by the menu. Consider it vegan food for skeptics and omnivores.
