This trendy Fremont sports bar has a lot to offer, but we would like to focus on these three things in particular: a Big Buck Hunter machine, Shuffleboard, and more flatscreen TV’s than you can shake a hot wing at. While there’s plenty of reasons to go in that first sentence, we’ll give you a couple more: pool tables and an interior that feels like Cheers, if Cheers was filmed in Fremont. Familiar, but a little funky. If you still need one more, we’ve got it: pool tables. With so much to do, plenty of good drinks, and a full food menu, you can plan on sticking around for a while—maybe even until everybody knows your name—just don’t turn into that annoying postal worker who never leaves and everyone gets confused with Norm later on.
Flat-screen tvs galore, a good place to watch sports.
A good sports bar needs lots of TVs, ample seating options and good snack food. In those respects, LTD fits the bill and is a good option if you need to find a place to catch a game. The price point is right - nothing more than $10 or so - and they will fry up apparently anything, including zucchini, mushrooms and mac-n-cheese wedges.
Sadly, the mac-n-cheese wedges were way too greasy when I had them (the ones at the Admiral Tavern are better) but I give LTD credit for serving them at all. More people need to fry mac-n-cheese!
The downside of LTD is that, like any Fremont bar, it becomes insufferable after 10pm Thursday-Saturday. The hordes of fratastic types invade and your peaceful game-viewing experience is ruined. That isn't really LTD's fault, just a side effect of location. It's still a good place to watch sports, especially if you have a larger group, as they have several larger tables good for sharing.
A New Barsports and Grill. I met a friend at LTD the other night to watch a Husky Basketball game. We scored a table with a good view of the game and had a burger, some nachos and a couple big mugs of beer. I really like the flavor of the burger. It was a fun place to watch the game! And I totally have a crush on the girl that served us. We rounded out the night with some suffleboard.
