Buyer Beware. Pros- one of few stores that carry Marisa bridal collection in Seattle. Located on Eastside for those who live on the Eastside Cons- VERY poor customer service. Inconsistent communication. Unable to be reached by phone (you have to leave a voicemail and maybe you’ll get a return call). Did not deliver gown on time (late June delivery and was delivered less than 2 weeks prior to wedding day). No apologies for missed timelines, just excuses. The owner and store was featured on the King 5 news in June for refusing to pay back a client even after a court order.

Putting together a wedding, even with a planner, can be exhausting. This is enough reason to not get your gown through someone that makes you hunt your own gown down by calling the designer themselves. It shows no respect for the bride and her schedule. Earlier conversations about the gown was full of “rest assured” by Mary Ellen (store owner). The only thing I am sure of is that I would NOT recommend this store to anyone. No bride should go through this type of negligence by the store that she trusted with her wedding gown. Do not be fooled by her motherly voice and demeanor, she is a liar and full of excuses.

The dresses here are in the thousands. It is not a cheap place so you would think the service would be decent. David Bridal (where my flower girl and bridesmaid got their dresses) was so much more attentive than this little shop can even come close to. Looking through recent reviews, I am not alone in this. When looking for bridal stores- read recent reviews. Old reviews do nothing for the present. Good luck!

As for SeattleMOB's review and comment on another's- I'm glad to hear at least ONE bride and their family had a good experience.

Beautiful Bridal Gowns are found at La Votre. My daughter and I found The Bridal Garden searching online for bridal gown shops after visiting La Belle Elaine's and I Do Bridal, which didn't impress us at all! Liz O'Malley was very kind and professional with us and very attentive as my daughter described her dream dress. Liz pulled 5 or 6 that she thought might look beautiful on my daughter. I think the dress she ultimately selected was the first or second one she tried on! During the first visit we didn't order the dress, and we didn't feel pressured to order right away which made us feek very comfortable. We did return several months later for my daughter to try the dress on again to be sure it was "the one" - it was! Liz was very sweet and gentle with both my daughter and I, and my parents who were with us when we ordered the dress in late November.

When the dress was completed in late May we were not disappointed with it one bit! Liz shared in our joy, in fact!

I decided to have an outside alterations person do my daughter's bustle and hem and when I went into the new location on Market St location in mid June 2010, Mary Ellen Tuttle, the owner, was very gracious about my decision.

I would not hesitate to purchase a wedding gown, bridesmaids' dress, or flower girl dress from LVBC again! They have great designers not found elsewhere in the Seattle area and some very lovely dresses in a wide price range in beautiful fabrics, along with cool headpieces in a variety of styles as well!
