Go with Aaron!. From a merchant's standpoint, Aaron is the best! He was cordial and easy to work with. And he dealt with some of my difficult issues patiently.

Do not create a deal with Tippr. I had Tippr host a daily deal for my company and it was a horrible experience. If you are thinking of doing a local deal with them, don't. I wish I had read some of these reviews before going with them.

Throughout the entire process I was constantly lied to. I was hesitant to offer too many vouchers because I have a small company and didn't want to get overwhelmed. They assured me numerous times I would only sell around 50. I only wanted to offer a max of 50 but they said in order for them to make money they would have to offer 300. Something about estimated revenue which seems shady. We finally settled for 200. Well, day 1 there were over 100 vouchers sold. So much for keeping it at 50. In the end there were over 3x the number sold than I wanted. The salesperson I worked with was excited for me to sell so many, because she apparently forgot I didn't want to sell more than 100.

Tippr also had a couple "computer errors" that prevented me from seeing our offer until 1 day before it was supposed to go out. No calls or emails before then asking if I was happy with it. Then after I gave the changes I wanted made, she assured me it wouldn't go live until I saw the final draft. Lo and Behold due to a computer error, it still went out on the scheduled date with some errors still in the offer. Sounds to me like they need a better infrastructure or testers.

I also had to fight hard to keep the deal local and had to fight to keep delivery only within my normal range. She also told me no one outside of Washington would see it so no one would buy it. Funny that I currently have 3 offers that are going outside of Washington. If I didn't add the constraint that people would pay their own shipping, and delivery is ONLY within my range I'd be paying a lot out of my own pocket to ship these offers.

Also never offer free shipping or delivery. It is just a way for Tippr to get more money since they base the deal off the total value of your product + shipping/delivery. You basically eat up the cost and time of doing it while they get to pocket 40-50% of it. And if people really want your product they will be willing to pay the extra cost to get it. They are still getting it at 50% off.

I also had multiple people take advantage of the number of offers they can redeem. There was a condition to only have one offer per order, which sounded like a good way to prevent people from buying tons of offers and using them at once. However, since Tippr put unlimited purchases as gifts, I had one person buy 17 vouchers and want to redeem them all at once. So instead of getting 17 different orders for the same date and location and have to organize them all, I had to bite the bullet and let them redeem all 17 at once. Thank you Tippr. So if you do have them run an offer do not let people buy more than 1 or 2 or they will exploit it.

Great experience on a refund. I actually had a wonderful customer service experience. Had a problem with purchased vouchers and suggested I was upset (wrong item sent, slow response from the company for whom the vouchers were for). They made apologized, issued a refund and made it all simple within literally hours. At least in my experience, they stand by their products and with this assurance I'd use them again.

Made Fradulent type charge on my card. I would not use this company under any circumstances. I used Yollar many years with no problem but evidently they entered into an agreement with this company. This company charged my account $50.00 and when the given number is called, the call is connected to voicemail and after a wait a recording says "leave a name and number and we'll call you back". Of course no one ever calls back. I contacted my carrier and had the charges reversed as fraud. The good ratings are probably TIPPR employees as Brian Tobias who left a rating of 5 stars runs the company.

So many bad reviews because such bad customer service. Except for the tippr employees this seems to be all bad reviews. I really wanted to buy one of their deals, but after not being credited for my referrals (and refs not getting credited either) and seeing these reviews - seems to just be a rip off.
