A welcome contender in the Seattle burger joint scene, Ballard's Seattle Burger Company whips up the usual slab-o-beef-between-two-buns into some pretty tasty (if somewhat unorthodox) combinations. With concoctions ranging from a Korean-style Bulgogi burger to an Aloha burger with grilled pineapple and wasabi mayo, you can be sure Seattle Burger Company is just as worldly as the city itself. On the other hand, if you bleed red, white, and blue and prefer that your burgers do the same, have no fear. The inside is just about as quaint-American-burger-joint as you can get and the All-American Double burger offers a hefty salute with double the meat and cheese, bacon, and all the fixings. Exotic or ordinary, this Ballard business has your burger.
A new burger joint that won't break the bank!. It's not hard to spend $10 or more on a burger in Ballard. Highly customizable gourmet(ish) burgers abound. The Seattle Burger Company has taken a different tact, offering several standard burgers from $3.85 to $7.39 for a fully-loaded double. The burgers are made from 100% ground angus chuck and in addition to your standard burgers, there are a couple creative options like a hawaiian burger with pineapple or one with roasted peppers. Seattle Burger Co. also has a large selection of classic bottled sodas (I love a Mexican coke) in addition to fountain sodas, shakes and floats, with frostys soon to join the lineup. I recommend ignoring the side salad (not hard to do at a burger joint, I know) and indulging in some of their delicious looking sweet potato fries instead.
