Tips for Barracuda Taqueria

Best shrimp tacos!. I was recommended to this place by a friend and it was excellent. I've tried several things on the menu and would suggest 2 things. The whole chicken is very tasty and moist. They sell out every day so order it early or you won't get any. The shrimp tacos are amazing. Best I've ever had.

Citysearch Editorial Review. This ain’t no taco truck--in all the right ways. Barracuda Taqueria delivers some much-needed Latin street food flavor to the otherwise flush Belltown dining scene. There's gourmet taco or torta offerings, from slow-roasted brisket braised in beer and chipotle peppers, then topped with Oaxacan cheese and caramelized onions, to a specially blended Picadillo beef mixture that’s sure to have you speaking Spanish you don’t even understand. While the food is all Mexican, the interior is unique enough to merit the coining of the term “Mexi-chic”–two parts Mexican grandmother, one part modern decorator. Add this to one of the most surprising views of the Space Needle, and you’ve got a recipe even your abuela would approve of. The only thing that could possibly improve it? This place needs margaritas, stat.

A Worthy Taco Truck Opponent. If you are looking for tacos or tortas to be the star of your meal, and you don't want to venture into the outskirts of the city for true taco truck delight - Barracuda is your taco savior. With no less than 10 possible fillings for your "street style" taco, making up your mind is going to be the most difficult part of your trip. Your beer selection includes Bohemia, Negro Modelo, Corona, and the other usual lime tinged suspects, with a house red, white, and sangria to boot. On a recent trip, the carnitas were the simple standout, with the Al Pastor a bit too sauce laden (mushy) & sweet than preference dictates. For a normal appetite, two tacos, or one taco one torta - plenty of food. Don't take after yours truly and try to eat three unless you have time to enjoy the subsequent taco induced food coma. Things to note: this tiny place is right around the corner from Bandits. Keep walking! It can be a little hard to find in the dark. They are also open until 10pm. This area has a dearth of food options, so Barracuda is a welcome addition!

everything on the menu priced at $3 and $4 dollars. This is some of the best, most fresh, and non-greasy Mexican food I've had in Seattle. I think most of their ingredients come from the Pike Place Market and the prices are great with almost everything on the menu priced at $3 and $4 dollars. The portions are satisfying - yet not overkill.

Barracuda Taqueria is an excellent place worth walking to from Downtown, Belltown, Queen Anne, or Capitol Hill if you're looking for high quality Mexican tacos, tortas, or soups that will satisfy your Mex craving. It's right across the street from the Seattle Center and near Key Arena.

The actual place is a bit small, but if you live nearby, you can get orders to go and eat it back at your place (or perhaps at Sculpture Park just down the street).
