Dishonest and only wants the big payday job. I called Fisher Plumbing for a straight forward task. Just wanted them to fix a broken dip tube on our water heater. Scheduling was easy, and they said they would be there in two days.

Plumber shows up, and doesn't have the dip tube. Said he thought we already had one, and it would take him a few weeks to get one in stock.

(I called two plumbing supply stores directly later that day and both had them in stock.)

He then said that it once the part came in, it would be a three hour job to do the replacement. 3 hours to unscrew the cold water tap and slide a new dip tube over the nipple?! At $140 an hour too. His suggestion was to buy a new water heater instead, which he could "get done" for us right away, at right around $900.

Unbelievable. Its completely dishonest to commit to come out and replace a $10 part and then show up and not only not do the job, but recommend a fix that cost 10x the problem.

BTW, he did confirm that it was a dip tube problem, which is even more insulting. Everything else on the water heater works fine.

I bought into their advertising about caring about community and building lasting relationships with their customer. What a load of nonsense. If they had just done the job requested, they'd have gotten a lot of future business, but instead they tried to bait and switch for a quick payday. They will get no future business from us or anyone who asks me for a recommendation.

I would definitely recommend your company!. Derek was fantastic. Knowledgeable. Personable. Skilled. He was incredibly helpful not only resolving my current issue, but mapping a plan for future drain care.

He was awesome - personable, timely, knew what he was doing. Thanks for the extremely competent service provided by Michael - in identifying and fixing my detached pipes that caused flooding, and then investigating and quickly finding additional faulty connections (which would have led to more flooding had he not found them). He was awesome - personable, timely, and really knew what he was doing.

My Second Review of Fischer Plumbing. Have used Fischer a number of times. Plumbers are always extremely professional and I feel good about having them in my home or leaving them there if I want to. The quality of work is impeccable. I have used them for both simple to complex jobs. I trust this company to do a good job for me every time and have frequently recommended them to friends. They also have been very satisfied.

A Very Pleasant Surprise. I own rental houses and have had encounters with plumbers that could inspire the script for a truly horrific scary movie. This time I checked Citysearch - since my own business is listed here and my customers have posted dozens of good reviews (and a couple not so good) , I know it's a reliable resource. One plumbing company had a bunch of consistantly terrible reviews and I was glad for the warning. Fischer had great reviews and I decided to try them. The reviews were right on, and I'm happy to add mine to the bunch.

When I called them the receptionist was pleasant, she had a licensed plumber call me back and he gave me a pretty good idea of the cost over the phone. (some companies charge $75 just to tell you they'll charge an arm and a leg.) The guy from Fischer showed up right on time. He was well groomed, very pleasant and polite, worked neatly. He installed a toilet on a cement floor where none had ever been; though he had to drill the cement to put in bolts, he had the entire task accomplished in less than an hour, with a bill about half what several others quoted. I'm sorry I didn't get the individual plumber's name, but he did a great job and I'm very pleased. I've already referred this company to my brother and to my leasing agent (she could REALLY use a better plumber-her guy overcharges and underperforms.)

I'm glad found these guys and will certainly use them again. Keep up the good work, folks!

Service was excellent, and done in a very timely manner. Called dispatch. Within a few minutes of the call to dispatch, Jim called me, told me he was in the area, and would be right over. Less than 10 minutes later he was here, and had the problem diagnosed. Due to this being an old house, there were some logistical issues replacing the wax ring on the toilet. Jim was very forthcoming and thorough about what he was doing to fix the problem, and gave helpful advice on what I should think about doing for a more permanent fix. I will definitely use Fischer Plumbing in the future. Service was excellent, and done in a very timely manner.

Great Plumber. I just bought my first condo and I found that Steve was very helpful in helping me get things in order with faucets and plumbing concerns. I will recommend him to friends in the area. I appreciate him taking the time to answer my questions and taking the time to explain things to me. Thank you Steve!!
