Citysearch Editorial Review. This Seattle landmark has settled comfortably into its new location, looking as though it’s been here for years between Pike and Pine among Capitol Hill’s many coffeehouses, taverns and boutiques. The bookstore’s feel hasn’t changed: large paneled windows display new releases and old favorites, and the atmosphere inside is open and airy with exposed pipes and wooden beams. With over 150,000 books displayed on cedar shelves over two stories, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for. Comfortable leather chairs spread throughout the store invite sampling before deciding what to purchase. For a quiet place to work, there are also several rustic tables and their new café (which will open in June). With several author readings, book club meetings and other events per week, there’s always something interesting going on at the Elliott Bay Book Company.
