If you have high blood pressure, stay away!.
We decided to try Sullivan's after receiving a coupon in the mail. We won't be back.
Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable but he could not make up for the kitchen. All food items, including the vegetables, were highly salted. One of our steaks was undercooked and we sent it back, only to then have it returned to us so overcooked that it was dry and tough. By that point we just wanted to finish and get out, so we didn't request a replacement. This is unacceptable for the prices they are charging.
Citysearch Editorial Review. This popular steakhouse chain has taken up residence in Seattle’s downtown core, ideally located for the number of out-of-towners who crowd the bar after a day of conferences and meetings. With a slightly dated, jazz-themed interior, and bartenders that probably did stints in Vegas, Sullivan’s is the place you’d go if you were in the mood for something reliably predictable. There are few surprises on the menu: standard steakhouse offerings like filet mignon, steak sandwiches, iceberg wedge salads with blue cheese dressing, French onion soup and burgers are served up at reasonable prices. The bar area, especially at happy hour, is considerably busier than the restaurant—that’s where you’ll find men loosening their ties and women undoing their chignons over fruity martinis and dishes of truffle fries.
Great EXPERIENCE OVERALL~.
Yes, it's a chain, but they know what they're doing when it comes to both service AND food. As far as steakhouses go, this place is my new favorite!
Super attentive and friendly staff, from the hostesses to the bartender to the server. We were made to feel like VIPs from walking in the door!
The cheesesteak eggrolls were definitely a unique (but good!) appetizer experience, but the calamari is seriously the best in town.
My New York strip was cooked properly and the peppercorn sauce was a great add on. My girlfriend's filet was done exactly how she likes and seasoned just right. Both of them came with a salad, but I paid a little more for the tomato mozzarella and it was so good. The sides are ala carte, but with the free salad it all evens out! Get the potatoes augratin and the cream corn for sure!!
We didn't have room for dessert, but the brownie cake sounded delicious the way our server described it!!
Seriously a great steak an even better deal!
You gotta be kidding!!. Obviously the staff (and others) have been instructed to vote for this restaurant. To have chain restaurant winning the "best restaurant" in Seattle is embarrassing! This place shouldn't even be nominated.
Its OK... not great.... Felt like a chain. Mediocre food. Burger was kind of bleh. Girlfriends steak was overpriced for what we got.
Private dining.
My guests and I had a great time at Sullivan's Steakhouse. They just opened in June, but you would never know it.
The staff was knowlegable, and so friendly. Smiles everywhere! As if they had known us forever and were just so glad to see us. Where do you get that these days?
The food was great, and when they brought out our food, I had to check to see if we were the only guests in the restaurant.... nope, but it seemed like every server (and manager) was there delivering our food. And, then again, clearing our plates. We surely were Wowed by the experience.
This is what dining should be like. It is so refreshing to go somewhere and feel that you are truly appreciated.
Not that the service at dinner wasn't enough, when I arrived home, I received a thank you card from the servers and a separate one from the banquet manager.
Can't wait for the opportunity to go back again.
