Check out the 150 beers (mostly European) available by bottle, but don’t miss the four well-curated rotating local drafts and whatever cask-conditioned ale is on the beer engine. Wine gets equal billing with an impressive list of vintages from independent labels. Yes, there are some actual wooden barrels sprinkled throughout the room, but the room’s focal point is a sleek bar hewed from a length of fallen old-growth fir. Settle in here or at one of the cozy two-person booths and give yourself a lesson in imbibing Northwest-style. No meals here, but bar snacks like garlic pretzel chips or salted caramels are several notches above jalapeno poppers and beer nuts.
