My Mother-in-law is Brazilian, so my
family has been going to this restaurant for a few years now, and have always loved it.
On Father’s Day 2012, we had a frustrating experience. I had called weeks before Father’s Day to make a reservation and was told twice on the phone that the lunch price for Father’s Day was $29/person. When we arrived with our party of 11 people on Father’s Day, they ended up charging us $46/person (the full dinner price because of the special meats served on Father's Day. The hostess I had spoken to on the phone was wrong about the price.) We were shocked because it was much more expensive than we had planned for. We spoke with the manager, and he said there was nothing he could do. I called back and spoke with the owner, and he was very understanding and apologetic for the mix-up. The Marketing Director of Novilhos, Elle, called me personally and apologized for what happened and gave me a full refund for the extra amount we were charged. I am so impressed with how Novilhos handled the situation in the end. I want to especially acknowledge Elle’s kindness and helpfulness. She went above and beyond to remedy what happened, and gave excellent customer service.
We will definitely be returning to Novilhos in the future! :)
Dissapointing!.
After Inpanema's in Seattle closed I was excited to find another local rodizio restaurant. The Brazilian grills I've been to in various cities were pretty comparable to Fogo de Chao, so I was very disappointed by the selection and toughness of the meats. Please turn your flame down! The pork rib and garlic sirloin were inedible!
The servers came around with chicken wings and bottom sirloin every three minutes while I saw the filet mignon only twice. Although they on the menu, I never saw the lamb chops.
The only reason Novilhos gets a second star is due to the attempts of the staff to turn my obvious disappointment by seeking requests for meats. The staff was very attentive and polite. Unfortunately, the meats were not worth the standard rodizio price.
Overall, it's a bad sign when the salad bar gets more attention than the meat selection.
Great place or a night out. I have been here a few times and by far it is the best Brazilian place in the seattle area. Much better atmosphere than The Amazon, and the service is much better. Dinner is a little on the pricy side (would not be if the salad bar was just a little more top notch). Also missing the grilled pineapple. However their desserts are great and f you are full you should get one to go.
Great *****. I am Brazilian tourist in Seattle and I went to Novilhos with my husband. We were expecting to get a little taste of my culture offered in another country. I enjoyed everything in this place. The meat servers were very attentive and polite. They were very careful about how to serve us in the better way: If you need anything, they are there to serve you.Our server was very friendly and attentive. The service was great. The food was very good overall. Everything in the salad bar tasted good and fresh and the majority of their meat offerings were delicious and excellent quality. I loved the atmosphere, music, smell, color and the taste of this restaurant.
Best Brazilian food in Seattle/Bellevue. I was born in Brazil so I'm pretty picky when it comes to Brazilian restaurants. This one is AWESOME!! I love the food and adore the great service. This is one of my top 5 restaurants in Seattle/Bellevue area. I've taken customers there for lunch and gone with family and friends for dinner and the service and food is always top notch. The flan they serve for desert is the best I've ever had...even in Brazil! Don't waste your time going to the "other" Brazilian steakhouse in Seattle...this is the real thing! Fun, all you can eat, great tasting steak, chicken, sausage, pork and lamb along with an amaznig salad bar and hot side dishes.
Great food great time!. I just heard of this place l a few weeks ago and decided to bring my family there on Saturday night, I have no regrets and didn't waste my money. The stuff was very friendly and the service was great, we had the "all you can eat buffet" the meat was delicious (I at so much), . We discovered a new cuisine and had a a good time, my family and i recommend this place!!!
Really good and a great value. Went to lunch here the other day and it was great! Basically, it is an all you can eat steakhouse. I tried all kinds of beef, pork, and chicken. Everyone is a little different in taste. Lunch was about $20 and it comes with a salad and other types of appetizers included in the cost. The decor is really nice and the service was very good.
Steaks...Yum!. I tried a couple different cuts of steak at Novilhos. The Alcatra, Frango, and a few others whose names are escaping me. They were all delicious - my favorite was the Alcatra which was really flavorful and tender. The atmosphere was great. I was there for a family event, and I could see it being a great spot for parties or just for a couples dinner. I highly recommend it.
Good Meat, So-So Buffet Bar. We were waiting for this spot to open, as my husband and I both love Brazilian food. The meats are delicious, the build out of the space is sexy and swanky, but I wasn't overly impressed with the other items in the buffet. I think for the price, there should be a lot of tasty items to choose from. I'd like to see the quality of the salads and other dishes improve. Also, there should be a discount for children, as ours go with us everywhere and bringing them to this spot ends up costing more than The Met. We've done it twice now and probably won't again.
