Absolutely love this place and its
green mission. For starters, guests get the message the minute they walk in the room. The card key is plugged into a slot near the door to turn on the lights. What a great way to keep track of your key and ensure that the lights aren't left on when you're not in the room.
You're probably going to want to hang, though. The comfortable, quiet sleep spaces have satin-y sheets and big flatscreens, where you can order all sorts of still-in-theater movies. There's in-room coffee and tea and a mini fridge you can custom fill with your favorite snacks. Really appreciated the fragrant KenetMD toiletries. Oh, and don't forget your swimsuit. The pool is out of this world, a lap swimmer's dream.
This is also a dreamy place for a spa-cation, with the Elaia offering everything from nourishing oxygen facials, mani-pedis and massages that will make you forget all your cares and woes.
This fab hotel is my new go-to
recommendation for downtown spacations. I love the staff, the luxury spa (hiding on the 2nd floor), and the swanky restaurant Urbane. (Sunday is HH all day and the shrimp skewer is a must!)
My only recommendation would be to consider updating the name to, "Hotel & Spa at Olive 8" and offering a few more gluten-free menu selections like Beecher's new gluten-free mac & cheese..It's to die for.
CAN YOU SAY FABULOUS!. NEWLYWEDS - so we're traveling the world and we stay at this new eco friendly modern hotel. LOVED IT! It was so modern and sleek. The Restaurant/Bar downstairs (Urbane) served Breakfast thru Dinner. Food was delicioso and moderatly priced. Close to all shopping and the famous Market. Hotel room was soo nice, modern everything. Bathrooms were fabs too! Swimming pool was sooo nice, its thru the SPA area. Which the SPA is amazing too (try out their showers in there). Jacuzzi, was soooo nice! Everything was beautifully decorated and modern. Customer Service is first class.. Couldn't ask for more. Modern, Sleek, Edgy, Hip, fabulous priced hotel. Must stay here. Not a kid friendly hotel. Kids are not allowed in the swimming pool area unsupervised. Suggest adults/couples/business for this hotel only.
A Relaxing Oasis. The Hyatt Olive 8 is a lovely new gem of a hotel downtown. Its eco-friendly design (Leed certified) is cool, but just as nice is the attention to detail in all aspects of the rooms and public spaces. Nice linens, muted colors, amazing tile work in the bathrooms. Everything is just so. And the service is handled just as well. A great choice.
