Italy has brought us countless works of art from the sistine chapel to my dinner of homemade pasta at Rione XIII. Named after the 13th district of the city of Rome, Rione XIII is the seventh restaurant by chef Ethan Stowell, but that’s not all that important. What is important are the full flavors and hearty, Roman inspired dishes, from the ample antipasti to the perfectly textured pasta. A few bites and you’ll be all, “thirteen is the new Sistine.”

Rione's romantic with a capital R, the gorgeously lit dining room makes for a perfect date night. The ever-changing menu is full of all sorts of interesting choices, inspired by the fare of a neighborhood in Rome. Pasta dishes are especially lovely, but be sure and save room for something sweet at the end of the meal or indulge in a selection of cheese and a glass of well-chosen dessert wine.

Loved every dish we had! Best ESR in my opinion. Rustic yet refined and satisfies all your Italian urges. You're especially lucky if it's artichoke season! Go with friends so you can try more dishes. You will crave this place on a weekly basis!

Named for the 13th district in Rome, the correct pronunciation of this place is ree-OH-nay 13. The bartenders and staff will love you more now.

Flatbeards, handmade pastas and antipasti, oh my! Ethan Stowell's latest addition is not one to miss, unique in its Roman trattoria atmosphere and rustic decor. Ideal for a first date!
