Dear Scott Spencer (General Manager): Roto-Rooter had come recommended by the reviewers of this blog. That is why I am so disappointed in having to write now a poor review on Roto Rooter's performance.

I called to have a free estimate done. A serviceman showed up where upon I showed them the pipe that I requested to be snaked for maintenance. I was given a quote of $298 to snake the pipe line. I told the serviceman to proceed, but this was under the premise that the line could be successfully snaked. The serviceman brought in an electric snake. The serviceman was only able to go in about 7 feet before he got refusal (the snake line could not go past 7 feet). Serviceman announced he could not do anything further and that the bill was $268 (with $50 coupon). He could not have been in my home longer than one-half hour.

I understood this was a house call and I had agreed to the $268 on the basis that Roto Rooter could successfully clean my pipe line. However, to have to pay the full amount was unfair and not right.

I will never use Roto Rooter again, and I recommend you have clear terms before allowing any mobile plumbing service perform work on your home.

Roto-Rooter Plumbers 8/27/11. My husband and I just moved into our first house and were having difficulties with the plumbing in the shower/bath. We decided to hire a plumber to fix the problem but wanted to get an estimate first. It was difficult to find a plumber in Seattle, Washington as we have never had to do so before. The plumber came and gave us an estimate but he was also prepared that day to fix the problem whereas no other company plumbers were. We decided to go with Roto-Rooter because of this. Problem is fixed and plumber was very friendly as well, I would definitely use them again.

Roto-Rooter Seattle. Did a great, fast job. offered lower price than quote i already had. arrived about 20 min after i called. Did a fine job on the faucet intall. (got faucet from Moen because it was under warranty).

Top Notch Service. Used the online service to schedule an appointment and received a call the morning of the service to alert me as to the time that the service person would arrive. This process went very smoothly as Joe T. arrived right on time, was friendly, efficient and very helpful. Drain was cleared and the work is guaranteed for 6 months!

Great Response!. We are new to Seattle and just bought our home. We didnt realize that we would have so many problems with it but when we needed a plumber we wanted to go with a nationally recognized company. Our plumber has been with Roto Rooter for the past 22 years. He was experienced, up front about cost, courteous and kept us informed the whole time. He even wore booties! Thank you John and Roto Rooter Seattle for taking care of us and saving our holidays!
