Enjoyable X'mas eve dinner. We had our X'mas eve dinner in the VIP area. The food was very good and also a great value for $30/person when lobster was on our table with a fabulous view of Lake Union. There was another 300 persons X'mas party going on upstair. The owner (Mr. Sun) was very accommodating when we had to change our reservation from 50 persons to 44 persons. China Harbor provided 4 tables to seat 11 persons at each table. China Harbor had been the only restaurant that we used for holiday dinner since this restaurant opened in 1994.…
A GREAT MEAL. It was the perfect Saturday evening in Seattle, we had a great window seat for the 4 of us. Our waitress was absolutely fabulous. We could not have asked for a better table of course it was a sunny evening with boats on the water, our great waitress, she added so much fun to our meal, and wonderful food, we will add the China Harbor to our list of Great Eats on Lake Union!!!!…
The food is so delicious. I like to come here with my husband, the food is so delicious, I can never get enough. Egg rolls, fried rice to name a couple of my favorites!
Disappointed. We went there for my son's birthday and I really wanted him to experience real, good Chinese food. Well, the food isn't too bad but the disappointing part was that they departed from the traditional way Peking duck should be served. That was what we went there for, specifically. Instead of using crepes with the duck skin in it, they served it with buns that should be used for a pork dish. The appetizers were disappointing too. The other dish were good but nothing to write home about. Would I go there again? Maybe if I'm in the neighborhood and don't have any place better.…
Great date place, celebrations with friends.
I asked several people I met in Seattle where I should go for ambiance, good food, and a full bar, as well as my hotel concierge, and did some online research before heading to China Harbor with a
date. Not only did it have great ambiance, GREAT food, and a full bar, but also it had one of THE best restaurant views in the city of the waterfront. Throw in the fact that this place didn't cost me an arm and a leg - and it was the best date spot possible.
I would say this restaurant is a great venue for first dates, anniversaries, celebrations, because the mix of quality, cost, and clientele is enough to impress the most cynical of people.
Recommendations:
Go with the Family style "Emperor's Dinner" or order individually and get, at least, General Tso's Chicken. And my final note - $6 cocktails, and $4 beers. Good luck finding a nice restaurant like this that has drink prices like that!…
