I went to Jimmy's for breakfast last weekend based on WanderinginSodo's review of the place and I found the other reviews to be spot on. After we ordered our server disappeared for over 30 minutes and I actually had to go and find someone when I wanted a second cup of coffee. When our breakfast finally got there (45 minutes later) it was mediocre at best and tasted like it had been sitting around for some time before it was served. During our meal our waitress didn't say more than a few words to us, and only we asked her a question. I definitely did not get the feeling anyone cared if we left happy or not. If the restaurant had been busy (or I was eating at less expensive restaurant like Denny's), I think I would understand, however there were only 6-7 tables full and about 4-5 servers to take care of them. I would stay away unless you are a regular,
What's up with the other reviews?.
When there are four posts all around the same time and each of the 'reviewers' haven't reviewed anything else, you know it's bogus.
I work in the area and the service here is great. Don't let someone with a vendeta sway you otherwise. You will always get someone who smiles, moves quickly and wants you to leave happy. Food is quality and the portions are huge- my favorite being the Steak Salad and the homemade soups.
Small portions and slow service. I wish I had read the Citysearch reviews before we decided on Jimmy's. I recommended that a a group of us meet at Jimmy's before heading over to Safeco. Like another reviewer the service was so slow we ended up missing the first pitch. Just as bad, we were still hungry and ended up having to pay the jumbo prices at Safeco for more food . This was really irritating because it's not like Jimmy's is cheap. We were joking that Jimmy's is a great place to go when you're on a diet because you don't have to worry about over eating.
The customers always wrong at Jimmy's. I can relate to Samantha. I ordered a rum and coke, when I told the waiter that the coke was flat, he said the bartender and the manager had examined the coke and said it was fine. I think I know when pop is flat. We ended walking over to FX McRorys. The food was good at FX and so were the drinks. Shame on Jimmy's management, but good for FX.
No customer service here. If you care about service, Jimmy's is not the place to go. Our order was mixed up and it took forever to get the right food. We actually had to argue with the waitress that what she had ordered for us was not what we had asked for. It was a terrible experience. We haven't been able to dine out much since the recession started. We were looking forward to a treat, but this experience was worse than cooking and cleaning at home.
Poor quality food.
It's hard to mess up a burger, but Jimmy's did it. It took forever to get our food and we were in a rush to get to the game, which I assume they knew since it was game night and we had our Mariner duds on. When we finally got our food, it was cold.
We complained to the manager and he told us that the food wasn't that cold. Can you believe that? That's a first and to boot we missed the opening pitch.
