Fantastic Ambience. I actually went back and took a minute to do a small video featurette on JM Cellars if anyone cares to see it. It's on my site Wine Folly ... my rating is based on expectations limited to Woodinville, which is an awkward wine country built into strip malls with small boutique wineries, many of which survive solely on the generosity of locals.

However, JM Cellars is the diamond in the rough. It's easily one of the best wineries in Woodinville, if not the best.

Delicious wine.

John Bigelow is an excellent, charming winemaker, who is generous with his time and down to earth.

Fantastic ambience and incredible grounds, it's a beautiful location especially considering its location.

It's not the best value, but that's not to say it isn't worth its price... It just depends on your budget.

Definitely stop by and at least taste the wine.

My favorite winery! Top 5 reasons:. 1. Consistency. The red.. oooohh, the red. I can’t speak for the whites because I’m only a red connoisseur, and I’m continually impressed with value (quality/cost ratio) of their magnificent reds.

A wine membership isn’t fun if the bulk are average with only 1 -2 standouts; I choose JM Cellars wine club because I trust the quality of all their releases.

2. Truly good people.

You see the same crew when you come in. All are educated about wine and treat their customers like family. They are geniune about it. I always feel welcome there.

3. Stunning.

JM Cellars is located on a beautifully landscaped hill, the private lush surroundings feel like a sanctuary. I absolutely love being greeting by the smell of their outdoor apple-firewood pit.

4. Generous!

JM Cellars is the only Woodinville winery I know of that serves free salami, crackers, and Seattle’s Beechers cheese every day they are open (Fri-Sun).

JM provides free valet parking on event days.

John’s frequent cellar tours and barrel tastings (learning the history of Carménère while tasting it from the barrel is a real treat).

5. JM's "Nietos" is an experience everyone should have.
