The Secret Alley Bar.
We walked down many dark alleys trying to avoid creepy guys behind dumpsters and old ladies doing coke, while searching for this establishment. I wasn't sure if the door/entrance was going to be super secret and plain looking like the one at Knee High, so I tried almost all the doors in the many alley ways we visited.
Once inside the decor was definitely top notch. We sat upstairs at the bar and the service was excellent. The food however sucks. Don't order the garlic bread as it is just two slices of toast very thin sliced in half with butter and garlic and tastes like what I imagine cardboard would taste like. I ordered the Amaretto which the bartender served up with such presentation that we sat mesmerized as he poured my drink. My friend ordered a beer, so no excitement there.
Downstairs is a small bathtub and a couple rooms to hang out in. The bathroom is way cute you can check out the photos I posted
The characters in this bar are quite unique! Loads of great conversations to listen in on and since it's so small people just start talking to you.
Great place to bring a date, especially a first date and if you want to impress them by finding the secret spot with fabulous drinks and books at the bar. And clients that are reading books while at the bar (seriously!)

Scary alley but fancy drinks..
I wanted to check this out for a long time, but should have got better directions before deciding to blindy try doors in belltown alleys. Not the best idea, but once I figured out where it was it was easily recognizable. Unfortunately for me though it was the 2nd alley we tried and from the wrong direction. Inside its very classy with an upstairs and a downstairs. The bar tender was great and provided superb service while sitting at the bar, it was pretty cool to watch him make his fancy cocktails. However things were pricey and the garlic bread was not that great. It also appears there is only one unisex bathroom which I can't imagine makes late night partying very fun, there is nothing I hate more than having to spend all night in line for the bathroom. The downstairs had a cozy looking seatting area, but this was filled up on a Monday night, I can only imagine that weekends are standing room only.

Citysearch Editorial Review.
Located down an alleyway in the former boiling room of the Humphrey Apartments, this Belltown speakeasy provides a touch of mystery to a night of drinking--if you can find it.
