Get new staff - familiar with the cuisine.. In previous visits the entire experience there has been superb. But today... different story.

I ordered a tabouli salad and it came to me - without the tabouli! Not a single grain of bulgar.

I asked the Hispanic wait person about that and she said she would ask in the kitchen.

She came back and told me, "They (kitchen) said they put [it] in there, but they just don't use too much."

Really?

I asked her to show me.

After nearly pressing her nose into the bowl she stated, "I think that's one."

Really?

You have to look that hard to find ONE grain?

And that grain turned out to be a tomato seed.

There was no attempt to make this right.

This is entirely unfortunate as their food WAS good.

I know what bulgar wheat looks like - I make tabouli myself.

The 2 Stars is not because the food is otherwise untasty. The two stars is because they have chosen to employ staff unfamiliar with the cuisine and then... not make any effort to correct their mistakes.

Not good. Not good at all.

Some of the best food. A co-worker got take-out from this place yesterday. It was some of the best food I have ever put in my mouth. I have been longing for a good Mediterranean place since leaving Austin in 2003 (Kismet Cafe, near UT), and I finally found it! It was so incredibly delicious, words cannot even describe it. I couldn't finish it all during my lunch break, so I kept it at my desk and kept snacking on it all afternoon. THe garlic aroma was overwhelming, and you could basically dip a pita in my breath afterwards. Two thumbs up!

A+ Across the Board. I LOVE this little restaurant tucked into a strip mall. The service is speedy, the food is amazing (such layers of flavor!) and the prices are very good (great value). The owner treats each customer as if they were a guest in his home. He flits from table to table making sure each guest is happy without intruding on the meal. Fair warning--the garlic sauce is for garlic lovers only. There is nothing subtle about the flavors of this food. If you like bland food there are many other choices out there. This is a restaurant for people who appreciate big bold flavors and warm hospitality. I have introduced this restaurant to two friends in the past week and both thanked me profusely. That's the ultimate review.
