Delicous.
I am so surprised to see negative reviews for this restaurant. I have gone numerous times and am always thrilled with the quality of food and the service.
I think they have the best peanut sauce I've ever tasted and their dishes seem very authentic and not Americanized. I've never had watery or bland dishes, as some people stated though I will admit I don't go spicy I've always found my dishes to be very flavorful and I love how many veggies I get in my dishes.
Worst Pad Thai in Seattle. Not impressed. I love Thai food. My family loves Thai food. I was looking forward to enjoying my favorite dish, green curry but it was anything but a joy! I asked specifically no extra stars, I am almost six months pregnant and well too much spice gives me serious heart burn. When I brought home our curry, it was too spicy to swallow. I know the difference between a one star and a four star. The curry was also real watered down. It wasn't a quality curry. It was full of more veggies than the norm, to make up for the watery consistency. The menu online didn't detail the baby corn, broccoli and green beans that my curry was full of. I called to question my order. Maybe we had a misunderstanding? Maybe I got 'Joe Schmoe's' order who was on his way in? No instead the woman who took my order and wrung got defensive and explained that green curry was just spicy, and that she could make it again but it would be the same. Right. I am offended. Disappointed. Out $20 bucks (which I included a tip even though I picked up an order to go) and now without dinner. There are many many great places to order Thai food but Phad Thai Restaurant is NOT one of them!!!
Better than the reviews would indicate. We tried this place on a whim when Gorditos was closed. The dishes that we ordered were all nicely flavored. We ordered really spicy, which I didn't think we got, but it still tasted good.
bland. went here for the first time, its in my neighborhood. the phad thai had no flavor, even with 3 stars. the chicken skewers came with some gross peanut sause, it was very oily and also very bland flavor. the food seemed more traditional style than american-ized versions, but it was still bland and oily.
So-So Thai. As much as I want to love this place being that it's in my neighborhood, I've found the flavor of the food to be lackluster. The Tom Yum Gai in particular was dissapointing - very watery.... I much prefer Sea Thai which has the best Thai soups I've ever had, and I've had a lot.
great portions that match the atmosphere.
I've been eating here for 3 years now since I moved to the greenwood area and cant get enough of it, have to go atleast once a week. The service is great and they are always friendly. Better yet, the food is always top notch and delicious with the staple Phad Thai an absolute classic. There is always enough to take home for later but I often find myself close to licking the plate as dinner comes to an end.
A bonus is they deliver locally when you feel like eating Thai at home. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.
Worst thai ever.. I created a citysearch account immediately after eating delivery from this restaurant in order to warn people of how bad the food is. I ordered phad thai and swimming rama (2 stars), both of which were bland and seemed to be lacking in whatever spices normally go into good Thai food. It was extremely overpriced as well, ~$22.50 for two dishes and one order of rice. I really can't stress enough how disappointing this food was. Go to Thai Tom in the U-district if you want good Thai food.
Cheap, Tasty and Great Service. My roommate and I make a hobby of visiting many thai restaurants in Seattle but this has recently made our top three list for sure! Not only was it the best food we've had in a while but they have the kind of service where they notice exactly when you need water, you're done with dinner and when you want to pay. This hole-in-the-wall is truly a Seattle gem and was fairly quiet so we could enjoy a nice conversation about how much we loved our new find!
Treat customers the way you would hope to be treated.
The food is decent. I found the manager (owner?) at the register to be very rude. I was given a gift certificate for the restaurant. My bill came to $31, which left me $4 on my gift certificate. When I realized I had neglected to order rice, she charged me the remainder of the gift certificate--$4--to give me rice for one person.
That, my friends, is not the way to run a business. I decided not to complain about it at the time, but rather to leave negative feedback online, so others can use my experience for their own visit.
Oh...the peanut sauce..... It's so good. The dishes served at Phad Thai are consistent each time. Service is great... quick, attentative, friendly. They definitely found their strong points and stuck with them. A great restaurant doesn't have to serve every style of dish...they just need perfect the ones they choose to serve. Phad Thai definitely has achieved thier goal.
