A well hidden gem. After a friend told me about the food at an event that the chef catered, I had to try it. My wife and I made reservations and when we got there, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. We ordered the fois gras for an appetizer, and WOW, I've not had better in my life. The portion was more than i expected and was easy to share and feel satisfied.

My wife ordered the scallops, and i ordered the duck breast, both came out in perfect timing after we finished up the appetizer. The scallops were top notch, not only in flavor, but in preparation and texture as well. The duck breast (a rarity as it was twice the amount other restaurants serve) as tender enough to cut without a knife and so flavorful I never wanted it to end.

By the time the dessert menu came out, we were too stuffed to eat it. In looking over the unique creations that were on it, I can assure you that next time we will save room, or perhaps even go one evening for latenight for cocktails and dessert.

Just Okay...... Went there because of the reputation. My expectations were high, I will admit. I was disappointed with the a food (average), cheap decor, noise level and difficult parking. Best thing about the place is the attitude of the wait staff. There are much better restaurants in Seattle that command these high prices.

Good, but not great.. We went there about few days ago for our 6 yr anniversary... i have heard great things but we left somewhat disappointed with the food. When I arrived (reservations for 6:15) - I was told that since i was 15 minutes late, that the next guests would arrive at 8:15, but that i should have plenty of time, she just wanted to let me know. Very odd to greet a guest that way I thought. What was so strange was that there were SO many empty tables all night at least on the first floor. For a friday night, It felt very empty. Plus, we called a week ahead and asked for 7pm reservations, they told us they didnt have anything other than 6:15. Based on that, alot of people must have just not shown up. The good: Great server, younger blonde waitress with pony tail. Im glad we got her since the other servers didnt seem as friendly. The foie gras as people suggested, was Amazing. Great flavors, rich and worth the $20 appetizer price. Short ribs were good. Cocktails were great, the lavendar lemonade was surprisingly good. The not so good: The ahi tuna entree was below average, the vegetables were over salted. Our dessert was one of the worst desserts I have ever had in my life. I swear a betty crocker cake would have been better. Although nicely presented, the brown banana tart was stale, dry and powdery, the brittle ice cream which had a nice flavor was a block of ice, not creamy at all. They stated ice cream on the menu, but it was more of a hard frozen slushie that would break when we tried to cut into it. Should have asked the watiress what to order for dessert. All in all, the price was 109.00 + tax/tip which was rather affordable... i think we prefer restaurant zoe for the same price range. I give it an average rating more for the food than the service. Its a cute restaurant, has a lot of charm from the outside. Its possible we just ordered the wrong things, but I probably wouldnt recommend it. Thanks for reading!

Couldn't even get seated. I ate here before and it was fantastic. Unfortunately this time we couldn't even get seated for our reservation. And either could the big crowd gathered at the door with many asking about their table situations. The snobby host didn't do a good job and it took forever to get our drinks so we just left. I would suggest going on a weekday.

Service with a Middle Finger!!. Well after all the stories about how great Crush was suppose to be I decided to give it a go. In fact, I decided to have my girlfriends birthday dinner there. Expecting that it would be a great atmosphere, and of course great food. However, I was completely let down! After waiting around almost 30min past our reservation time, and then being met with extremely lack luster service. Our server treated us like we weren?t good enough to be at Crush (which was nice seeing as that I spent $200 + at the restaurant), and to top it all off it took an hour and a half to get our food.

So if you like restaurants where they treat you like garbage, I would recommend Crush.

Bon Appetite!!

Great all round. This is probably the only restaurant I have ever eaten in that every dish was a pleasant surprise. Even those items I tried at others urging (fried anchovies) were superb. I am puzzled by a previous poster's remarks about uneven dishes and steep prices. Compared to other places touted in Seattle this was a bargain. Extremely pleasant staff, great building (except for parking) wonderful wines, and hardy entrees. Don't miss this place if you are visiting Seattle. You can't walk there from downtown, but it is worth the very short ride to get out of the tourist trap places. The short ribs and the lamb are exceptional!

All that is great and all that is bad with fine dinning. Let me preface this by saying that I went there expecting to dislike some aspects of the experience that is crush, but in the end my expectations were proven wrong and as such had nothing to do with my rating.

After reading many of the reviews on this site I decided that Crush would not be for me because any place that has snobby staff is not for me but encourages by a friend I finally accepted to try it.

Much to my surprise the staff was nice courteous and very helpful; the food on the other hand was not up to par with the prices and atmosphere. The wine selection was however fairly extensive if not a bit on the pricey side.

I would compare Crush to cafe Juanita in many ways but the food at crush seems pretty off and on. we had 5 dishes total (two diners with appetizer, entree and 1 desert) and out of those I can honestly say that one was very good (the sweet onions tart) 3 would have been fine at a lower price and 2 were not acceptable for any restaurant without a $10 menu (duck breast, desert).

As a whole it is a very romantic setting, the staff is great, the food isn't on par with the price/setting and parking can be quite a pain.

I would go back but not on my dime.

Good food and service. Very nice place with balanced food and fine service. Scallops were excellent and a couple of apps that we had were very good as well. Desserts are well presented and tasty. Parking was somewhat difficult but we will go back to enjoy more of the menu.

Crush helped us have a wonderful date night!. My husband and I went to Crush last night. We were running a bit late for our 5:30 reservation, but I called and they said it wouldn't be a problem to seat us. We were greeted at the door + shown to our table by a very friendly hostess. Our waitress was fantastic! She made great recommendations for us. I was disappointed because they had changed their menu and I had been looking forward to the rose cocktail. She and the bartender put their heads together and made a rose drink that was as similar as they could without the proper ingredients. I really appreciated them going beyond my expectations to fulfill my request. I had the Sweetbread appetizer recommended by the waitress as her favorite thing on the menu. I have never ordered them before because I thought they were a bit of a strange item, but they were amazing! The presentation was fantastic and the wide array of flavors blended very well. My husband had the razor clam chowder, and it was the best chowder I have ever had in my life! I had the seared halibut with morel mushrooms on gratin greens and it was the best fish I have ever had. The flavors blended well to add an amazing richness to the dish. My husband had the seared scallops with foie gras and that was a phenominal dish. I helped him finish a lot of his meal. :) The coffee service was great. We each had our own french press. My husband had a deconstructed carrot cake for dessert and it was very good. I had churros with a chocolate dipping sauce. It wasn't my favorite part of the evening, but it wasn't bad. I thought the spiced chocolate dipping sauce would have cayenne in it, similiar to Mexican chocolate, but it seemed to have an almost liquorice aftertaste to me. That being said the churros were very light and had a generous coating of sugar and spice. My husband loved my dessert. We were shown out with the same friendliness they showed throughout the meal. This is our new favorite restaurant in Seattle.

Overrated. We sampled several dishes and nothing was memorable. I felt like I could cook most of the food at home with better results and less annoying atmosphere and patrons. You definitely get the vibe that everyone feels like they are quite the foodies "ooh and aahing" over dishes that are lackluster. And the price point is just not worth it. We tried it once and I don't think we will bother trying it again.
