THEY ROCK *************************************. These guys ROCK, every time I go there they are very helpful and give great service, Make sure to bring your model number, I learned that is essential to get the right part. Don’t understand some of these bad reviews they are the best and really only parts place in town, and thank you for being open on Saturday’s it’s hard for me to get there during the week . I recommend to everyone who want to save money and fix our own appliances, You rock reliable parts.
I Go there regularly.. I'm reading these other angry reviews and am wondering if we both went to the same store. I've been there dozens of times (I live 5 minutes away). I've always been treated well and always got the right part. The one time it was out-of-stock, they had it the next day. That's what they do. Sell parts. Most the advise I've received was sound but I always take it with a grain of salt because these are not certified techincians, they are parts people and very good parts people at that. If you want service advise, go to a service shop.
They SUCK!. We've used reliable parts for the last 5 years. This will be the last. My husband went to the store to ask what could be wrong with our dryer. The guy suggested replacing a fuse 1st, then try the thermostat and finally the heating element. Non of the parts resolved the problem so I emailed them to see if they had any other suggestions. Their response was that they were only a parts store and don't give advice. I guess they were only interested in helping when it came time for my husband to buy a bunch of parts.
Reliably Unreliable and Unfriendly - Absolutely Horrid!.
I ordered a water control valve from them online and the order was sent from this Tukiwila home office. The shipment arrived three days later but they sent me a control module instead of a water valve. The invoice showed water valve but they sent a control module.
I was very disappointed but hey, mistakes like this happen sometimes, but that's not what has be so upset. When I called to sort it out the agent acted as if I must be mistaken or like I ordered the wrong part. He finally said he would send me the right part and a shipping label to return the control module. I then asked for either the shipping charges to be waived or for the new part to be sent overnight at their cost. He said no, can't do that and acted like I was asking for the world. He said they were closing at that he would process this in the morning.
Realizing that they don't deserve my (or anybody else's) business with this kind of customer service, the next morning I called first thing to cancel. I left a message on this agent's phone and then I called the 800 number to try and speak to someone directly. The guy I got there had the same annoyed and unhelpful attitude. He said he would contact the other agent to take care of it and then hung up! Seriously, he just hung up on me. I was being normal and calm and just talking through the situation and he just hung up.
I then called the administrative offices to speak with a supervisor and it just kept going to his voicemail. I left a message and I'm still waiting to hear back.
This place is terrible. Given the wide array of competition (online), I can't believe they are still in business with this kind of customer service behavior. I also spoke to someone here locally in the SF Bay Area office and it was the same thing. There is clearly a culture of bad attitudes and arrogance in this company.
I would highly recommend that you look elsewhere before doing business with Reliable. Look online for "appliance parts" and you'll find several others.
I Thought We Were in a RECESSION?!?. I went there as well. I brought the model and serial number with me of the oven unit I was having trouble with. I also had the 'error code' that it was showing on the touchpad display. I, too, was cut short by the red-head with the 'wolfman jack' hairdo. Cut me off mid-sentence and said she had no idea what a code means.... I said that you must have the manufacturers error code troubleshooting key and she curtly said NO! WE DON'T GIVE ANY TECHNICAL ADVICE. She handed me a card of an appliance repair service and said I should call him to come out and tell me what I needed. I don't need todo that, I explained. I HAVE THE ERROR CODE off the unitI was completely offended by this woman's attitude which I can only assume was her instructions from the business owner. The typical part you would need - electronic touchpad/circuit board costs probably $300. Must be a real great business they are doing there in this recession if they can drive $300 bills out the door. I got the part in Tacoma where a really nice guy looked up my error code and sold me the part... Later that day I stopped at WESCO automotive paint supply where the salesperson listened to what I wanted to accomplish, suggested the proper products and even offered tips on how to use the product for best results.... They got $1,000 of my money for understanding "customer service". I wouldn't buy anything from this Reliable Parts Company now even if I knew what I wanted...lost me as a customer forEVER!
UN RELIABLE. They told me that they ad the element I needed. When I drove all the way down to Tukwila I discovered that they did not have what I needed. I specifically asked if they were sure, because I was driving from the U district, and was assured that they had it. I would call them UN RELIABLE.
First time customer, now Lifetime customer. I went in to reliable parts yesterday with a friend and I was so impressed with the service. Everyone was very polite and helpful. My friend wasnt sure exactly what part she needed for her stove but the lady at the counter showed her a diagram and they were able to figure out what part she needed. I even got some great stuff for my new grill. Not to mention some Grrrr-8 BBQ sauce..... I will defiantly will be a return cusomer. I was so impressed that I wanted to let other people know about Reliable Parts!
Very Reliable. Every time I've needed an appliance part they've either had it in stock or been able to get it for me quickly. The service is fast and neighborly.
