Beacon Hill scored big when they became home to this charming neighborhood joint which serves up wood-fired pies, small plates and seasonal salads. Get there early (they don't take reservations) and don't miss out on the grilled octopus with heirloom peperonata--a bargain at just 10 bucks.

They're known for their pizza, but the salads here are outstanding! Always seasonal, always flavorful.

Wonderful wood-fired pies are the rightful star at this busy spot, but the veggies are worth the trip, especially if roast cauliflower is on the menu. It gets a salty kick from anchovies. Save room for the housemade gelato!

Fantastic pizza with seasonal toppings like nettle pesto. The entire menu, beyond pizza, is great, too. Short walk from the light rail.
