Editorial Review for Joshua Tree – by Rose Martelli

The Scene
A commitment to all things collegiate makes Joshua Tree look less like the California desert it's named for and more like the basement of the Sigma Chi house. If you're ever going to find a place where people still throw out such lines as, "You wanna come back to my place and watch a movie?" this would be that place. Everyone's intelligent and polite enough, though, to make settling in over a game easy.

The Draw
There are more than 20 microbrews on tap. Drink wine at your own peril.

Know Before You Go

If you want to watch the Mavericks when everyone else is tuned to the Mets, don't grab the remote--you can ask the bartender for a tiny TV screen of your own.

Crowded. Packed with out-of-towner recent college grads who just moved to New York for their first jobs.
