Curly hair love!!!. I went in to Derby (it was my first time) a little scared, if you have curly hair you would understand why. I was put at ease by the wonderful receptionist who offered me a beverage (wine!!) and some magazines to look through. Jefflin came over and sat down next to me to talk about the pictures of hair styles I was looking at and we talked a little right there about what I was looking for.( I have to say that really helped me relax) When we sat down she really listened to me and what I wanted. The haircut is amazing and the color is really beautiful, i have had so many compliments. I would recommend Jefflin and Derby to anyone!!!

Best Group of Hair & Body Friends a girl could have!!. I have been going to Derby Salon since they first opened. I have been going for both my hair (cut & color), and my body (massage & nails). Every time I have been in I have been treated with exceptional service from everyone there, and they have gone above and beyond to accommodate me when I was running late or needed to reschedule. They even throw in the nice compliments when I've been "transformed" into the new, more sleek looking me...now that's just extra sweet, isn't it?!

I see KC for my hair - the man is a GOD with color! Seriously! I don't trust just anyone to my fair locks...(and I think may be the only straight guy in Seattle who can do hair the way he does!)

I see Xochil for both massage and nails, and she is the GODDESS of pampering and provides top notch care and attention to every detail of my treatments.

Every time I have been there they make me feel like I am part of the Derby Family. I have not seen this kind of ambiance anywhere - its a chill, low key place for a girl to get her hair and nails done, and with the happy hour brow waxes? Watch me swoon!

I HEART DERBY 4-EVER!!

Great Customer Service. I went there for Mothers Day! i was greeted with a Great Smile and a Mimosa...I had a terrific pedicure...now you can get a pedicure most places, I found mine to have been not only exhilarating but enjoyed the conversation. My Facial was to die for. I was limp with pleasure!!! This Salon is exceptional not only does it provide the array of services that many spas do but it is also a place that supports community benefits and is a great employer!!!

Rude and Unfriendly. I took my mom here for her wedding day mani/pedi-the service was horrible. the nail technician was bossy, she kept speaking to my mom and me with attitude. She also made several comments on how if we haven't been getting regular pedicures she didn't know how good the nails were going to turn out...I've never heard of such a thing.

Beware if you have a lot of hair, they wouldn't take the time with me and I left with wet hair. I have really thick hair and a lot of it. I went with great expectations. I was excited to try out a new salon in my neighborhood. I wanted a new look. I really loved my haircut. She did a great job on the color. The problem was I went to a particular hair dresser because she came highly recommended and she pushed me off onto another hairdresser because my cut and color was taking too long and her next customer had already come. I had told the receptionist when i made the appt that I have a lot of hair, it usually takes hairdressers longer to cut/color my hair but i got bumped. I thought that was very rude.

Very Attentive, great service. I just moved to Seattle and was desperate for a haircut. It was Sunday and it was just one of those times where I had to get it done now. After some research I decided to give them a try. I called them morning of and they managed to find me a slot for 3pm with Sarah. Sarah is Awesome! She was very attentive, chatty and friendly. Most of all she listened to everything I had to say and what she did to my hair was exactly what I had described to her. I have never been so satisfied with my haircut. The other staff were very friendly too. I highly recommend this place!

Derby rocks!. I just tried Derby not long ago and I can't see myself going anywhere else for a long time! I had been going somewhere else, but needed to find something closer to home and more in my price range. I went and saw Megan for a pedicure - my toes were in heaven! When I saw how nice everyone else's hair looked going in and out of the joint, I called a few days later and was booked for a foil and cut with Shivon. Ever since, I've been getting more compliments on my hair than I know what to do with! The front desk staff is super friendly too, always checking on you to see if you need a refill, or maybe some magazines. I've found my new hideout!

Eva Is amazing!. I just had my hair cut and colored by Eva and I am so happy with what got. She made me feel right at home, taking the time to talk to me about my options really looking at the pictures I brought in of what I wanted. I never felt rushed and she seemed just as excited about what we were doing as I was. You could tell as she worked that she really knew what she was doing, which made me feel completely confident with how I was changing my hair. She really does pay attenion to all the details which means a lot when it comes to your hair. She spoke highly about the owner of the salon and you can tell by the vibe in this place that the staff is treated well. This salon is unpretentious and the staff was genuinely friendly. ("Happy employees make for happy customers" that saying rings true here) My hair looked beautiful when she was done and the cost of the service was reasonable and worth every penny. I'm moving in September but I will go back to see her before I go. I only hope I can find someone in Nashville so amazing! (If not... I guess I just have another excuse to visit Seattle)

Poor telephone customer service. I called to schedule an appt at this salon--they were so rushed and hurried on the phone that it really was poor customer service and ended up scheduling somewhere else. I have had services at this salon before and they were good. I suggest they put some care into scheduling appts at the front line. They ended up putting me on hold several times while trying to schedule appt for partial highlights. When they returned to the phone they were hurried and rushed and kept forgetting what I was calling about. If I hadn't been there before, it would have turned me off to the whole process. I ended up going somewhere else (Margi David Salon) and the result was a permanent change for me. Sorry!
