Improved MacMaster Houise 2006

I recently stayed at the MacMaster House and found that there have and are improvements still being made to the property. It is still in process but I would return again. The innkeepers were very warm and helpful and the breakfasts were delicious.

Pros: Location, Hospitable

The location? Fantastic. Room quality? Super. But the other reviews about MacMaster are about the previous owners. The current, newish owners have two areas to improve. One is their service. It's not horrible. But it's perfunctory at best. And inconsistent. Also, the house itself is starting to need some noticeable repairs. So it may not satisfy the pickiest customers. We enjoyed our stay and had a great time in Portland (which rocks). But we'd probably try another B&B in Portland to see what they had to offer.
