Worst Seafood Ever

I decided to give Red Lobster a second try, and the experience was worse than the 1st. Red Lobster is a very casual seafood joint that is most popular for crab legs and lobster tails. My last visit to Red Lobster was one of the worst restaurant experiences that I’ve had in a long long time. On a Wednesday night, the wait for a table was a half hour, so I sat at the last table available in the bar that wasn’t even cleaned yet. Fifteen minutes of sitting at a dirty table… “where is the waiter?” I got my chance and flagged him down. Another fifteen minutes later we get our appetizers. The table bread is more like muffins. The gumbo was lukewarm and had itty bitty pieces of seafood, I think it included shrimp…. Five minutes later, our water finally arrives. Another fifteen minutes later the “Ultimate Feast” comes to our table. “Skimpy” is the best word to start off the description. Tiny shrimp, tiny lobster tail, and HORRIBLE crab legs. I have never seen skimpier crab legs, and they had a texture as if they were in the back of the freezer for too long. No checkups or drink refills by the waiter. After getting the bill, I had to flag him down again, the waiter was told to keep the change. After that he continued to ignore us, and didn’t even bring back a receipt. After we left the table, where was the waiter? He walked by our table to pickup the tip that he did not deserve. The food and service is simply horrible. Large groups that don’t care about a cool, classy, or romantic experience would enjoy the environment (it’s almost on the level of Denny’s). If you’re looking for good seafood then checkout Malay Satay Hut, HoHo Seafood, or Sea Garden. The CrabPot and Ivars have far better seafood than Red Lobster. This place is just a large casual restaurant with junk food and junk service.

Cons: Bad Seafood, Bad Service, Mundane Environment
