We chose Daniels to go for our 24th Wedding Anniversay with old friends, First, the place was really, really noisy. So trying to chat and visit with friends we hadn't seen for a while , was near impossible. The service was good and friendly and knowledgeable. We didn't have to wait too long for the food. The lobster bisque was outstanding. The spinach salad had way too much oily dressing and was much too 'greasy', but the mushrooms, tomatoes and pecans in it were plentiful. The steaks, both of them were atrocious. Charred, charred, over charred, blackened so much there was no flavor to the meat inside as it was over powered by char. After taking a bite, my husband said, "now I wonder which wine I should order with this?" Our friend (whose steak was even more charred, said quickly "Why, Chardonney of course". The bread was delicious, the mashed potatoes were good, as was the asparagus. BUT we went there for a good steak. The OutBack Steak House has better steaks for $7.95. rather than $40+. We realised as we left and agreed well that was about the worst steak we've ever had at a restuarant; we should have gone to Ruth's Chris. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this noisy place. Unless charred is your favorite flavor. What a waste indeed.

Pros: Pretty nice view if you're put by a window,

Cons: Really bad steak, very noisy

I've been to Daniel's twice. The first, I was atrociously under-dressed (yet not treated any less of a human being) and the second time at Bellevue. Both times were sensational. The steaks are full of flavor and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, although sometimes a little pretentious. One night, instead of going to Daniel's, I suggested that we try something different, the Metropolitan, and it was atrocious and far inferior to Daniels. I would suggest Daniel's to anybody looking for a succulent piece of beef. The mashed potatoes were not my favorite.

Two people, two drinks a piece, one appetizer, starter salad, small (9oz) filet each, one side of spinach, and coffee for desert = $250. What a joke. The steak was good, but the price is absurd for mediocre service, atmosphere, view, etc. For that price, you could be eating at Canlis, where you are assured a memorable experience. Never again would I return to Daniels...rediculously expensive for what you get!

Pros: steak was decent

Cons: everything else...extremely overpriced for the experience

I've been going to Daniel's broiler in bellevue for 13 years now. I thought it was time that I finally write a review on City Search. There is only one reason I go and this is to hear the piano man, Jim Washburn, singing and playing just about anything the crowd requests. Looking around on a busy Friday night last weekend, I thought how obvious it is why this bar has had this kind of success for so long. Jim is always there, night after night. I asked him how long he has been at Daniels, and he said "almost 18 years....can you believe it?" It is amazing that a musician has this much stamina! I've brought everyone to this bar, for all different types of occasions....birthdays, girls night out, anniversaries, bachelorette parties....you name it. Every person I drag up with me to the 21st floor, wants to keep going back. The great thing about Jim is that he plays songs that you can enjoy AND talk with your company. While he is definitely the "star" of the show up there, he makes everyone else feel like they are the stars! Keep it up Jim....and thanks for almost two decades of entertainment.

Pros: Great entertainment in the bar

Cons: sometimes it's hard to get serviced right away

went back recently and was reminded how much I like this place. great food and great service. they've been inconsistent in the past, and my steak was overdone the first time around this last visit, but when they get it right it's hard to beat for great steak. seafood can be good also, but I prefer O/8 for seafood. ice cream sunday is my favorite dessert anywhere. lot's more competition in Bellevue now, so it's not as crowded as it use to be, which is a plus.

At an upscale restaurant excellent service should be a requirement. The service at Daniel's (Bellevue) was excellent, but not sensational. That Sunday night was my parent's and my first time dining at Daniel's; my sister had been there before. We ordered the Bacon Wrapped Scallops, which apparently comes in three. Our waiter informed us of this after we were served with the appetizer. What he did not mention was that he charged me ($3) for the extra scallop without asking whether I had wanted another one. (I don't particularly like eating scallops, so I may have passed on the offer.) Being that it is an upscale restaurant, one could argue that it may seem to be impolite to ask the guest such a question; however, I would have appreciated it if he had mentioned it to me before hand, as being the guest, I should be the one in charge of what goes on my bill. All in all he was very attentive, and met my expectations. The food was excellent as it should be at that price. The baked potato was enormous, and deliciously moist, soft, and at the perfect temperature! It came with a combination of sour cream, butter, chives, and bacon bits of my choice, added right in front of me. Their serving of mashed potatoes was also enormous. Each type of potatoes were enough for two people. My sister and I shared the Porterhouse (24oz), which was excellent as well--tender, cooked to my liking, and flavorful. No sauce was given nor really needed; however, I love creamy horseradish with all my steaks and prime ribs, and upon request it was handed to me instantly by our waiter. Reservations can be made online and over the phone, which is great. I do recommend making reservations a day ahead, because you may be stuck with really late times if making them on the day. I enjoy dining at different restaurants, and intend on writing more reviews. I also have high expectations when it comes to service. The service at Daniel's met my expectations, and I will definitely dine there again.

Pros: view, online and phone reservations, ambience, parking, service

Cons: restroom location (all the way on the private dining side of the building)

the food, service and wine list are great. The bar scene here is not. Lots of 50 year old men shopping for ditz brains. Its ironic that it's 20 floors up from Joey's since the bar scene here is an older (slightly sad) version of Joeys.

Pros: view, steaks

Cons: old men and desparate women in the bar

Daniel's Broiler is an excellent restaurant. Their steak is always cooked just right. I have never had a bad dining experience here. It is expensive, but the food and the great customer service are wonderful. Additionally, the view is beautiful. It's definately one of the best restaurants in Bellevue.

Pros: Great steaks, good service, beautiful view

Cons: expensive

This a great special occasion restaurant! Their menu/specials are always good and the food is incredible. They have a very good wine list, too. They're not cheap, but it's worth it. If you go during the holidays, try to get a window seat - the lights below add a romantic touch!

I always have a great time at Daniel's broiler. Not only do they have amazing food, but they have maintained a wonderful atmosphere for many years. Go to the bar if you want some interactive fun - Jim (the pianist/singer) is incredible and plays what you want to hear. You're assured to have a great time.

Cons: Not a great place for kids
