First I have been to Indian restaurants all over the west coast. The only better restaurant I found was the Red Barn, and they are now out of business. The reviewers pointing you to other restaurants, I think work at the other restaurants. The lunch buffet is the best on the East-side, and the place is packed at lunch and worht the 10-15 minute wait. Sundays brunch has Goat, and it is great!!! If anything they are to carefull on the spice for those of us with pale skin, but they are very-very frendly and always great service and taste.

Been here three times. Only once was the service good, with the waiter seating us promptly and returning to check on us periodically. The second time it was average. But the last time was horrible. Went in at lunch time. Only 3 or 4 tables were occupied. Waited at the counter to be seated while several waiters walked by without a word. The counter guy sat on his computer without even looking. After 10 minutes of waiting, I left to another restaurant. Won't be going back. On the positive, the decoration is nice, and the food is above average. Not cheap but not expensive as Indian restaurants go.
Pros: ambience, parking
Cons: horrible service

I went in for the first time today with a group of 5 and was given disappointing service. Called ahead for reservations driving 20 miles away to bring visting family. On our arrival we went inside...shocked that the place was small! We were abruptly pointed to a table and were not courteosly seated by a host. We were crammed into a small booth table and bascially crammed into the wall no room to move. Then we were told there was buffet only and couldnt order from the menu. What angered me was that we were not informed when we called. With kids in the group a buffet was out of the question. Plus the owner just said "Buffet only!" No apology or sympathy. Very unprofessional. We had family from out of town. How embarassing. Overall, didnt have a good experience.
Cons: bad customer service

By far the best South Indian food in town. I keep going back for more, mostly for dinner. If you are new to South Indian food, try the South Indian Thali.
Pros: Great food, Service, Value

If you want excellent service and delicious food you should go to Mayuri. They have the best 'chicken tikka masala' that I have ever had from any other Indian restaurant. I am literally addicted to it. I've compared it to other places I've been to and they can't hold a candle to Mayuri's. I have been going there for 2 years and always get it and never get tired of it. The waiter knows what I want before I even sit down. The chicken is so flavorful and the sauce is rich and creamy. Their garlic naan has the perfect amount of garlic on it, it's enough to give it flavor but not overbearing. It completes the meal. The service is awesome! The workers are always so friendly to me everytime I go. If you want great service and great food then Mayuri is the place you want to visit!
Pros: Prompt service, Inexpensive, Sitar entertainment

Food is not that good. Kanishka (in Redmond) and Regal (in Bellevue) have better lunch buffets and Udupi Palace has good lunch specials. There are better choices for Indian food nearby.

An friend of mine raved about Mayuri so we decided to pop in for lunch one day. I was sadly disappointed by the quality of their lunch buffet which. while not terrible, was certainly mediocre. For a truely delicious Indian buffet on the Eastside, check out Kaniska in Redmond which is leaps and bounds better. I wouldn't visit Mayuri again with Kanishka's superior food and service such a short drive away.

The food at this Indian restaurant is addictive! They serve rich sauces that are creamy and light; lots of fresh vegetabes, meat, and paneer; and whip up some Seattle's best lahsies (sp?) and chai. At lunch, this place is packed, but I've rarely had to wait long for a table. Even so, Mayuri serves the best lunch buffet around, with plenty of options that are quickly replenished (ie: fresh). At night, Maruyi, is a nice place to go for a romantic meal, small family eating, or a relaxing night out. They serve dinners "thali style" (individual cups with yogurt and rice) and service is always polite and accommodating. Also, I don't know if this is every night or just weekends, but I've dined there when they've hired sitar players to play during dinner.
Pros: Excellent Food, Great Atmosphere, Plenty of Parking
