SO RUDE

by goodservice100

I called Andre's today and when the girl picked up the phone, I was able to get out " Hi, is it possible to speak with someone".......before I was enterupted by her saying "No way!! We do not have time for this! It is way to busy right now!" *CLICK* She hung up on me! She didn't even know what I was going to ask! I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE, AND I WILL TURN EVERYONE AWAY THAT I KNOW!!!

  • Cons: SO RUDE

Great menu, pleasant atmosphere.

by mandolin82

We eat here regularly when we want delicious food and nice atmosphere (quiet enought for conversation). They have a nicely varied menu, some Asian, some French. If you go there you have to try the 5 Onion Soup!!! We have always had very pleasant and capable service when we have been there. We can usually get in without reservations.

  • Pros: Food, Relaxing and attractive atmosphere.
  • Cons: Not open for dinner on Mondays.

Hidden Jewel...

by aries88666

First time at a French Vietnamese restaurant. It wasn't French, nor was it Vietnamese. The dishes were very unique and tasty at a very reasonable price. I saw the previous posts on service and was concerned, but got great service by their wait staff. I spoke to the owners and they said that they took over in 2005. Decent wine list and price. I wouldn't take kids younger than 10 unless well behaved. They have a medium party room (like 20 seats). It will be perfect for a small party. Food was great... I go back 3 or 4 times a month now with my family as well as have business dinners there.

  • Pros: Great food and people
  • Cons: N/A

Love this place!

by momofdobie

I've eaten here regularly for the past 10 years. They remodeled after a fire about 5 years ago, but the menu stayed the same and is delicious. I love the variety and interest in the different choices. Only complaint is the bad service...last few times I've been there I've had terrible service by different waiters/waitresses.

  • Pros: Food, no question
  • Cons: Service

Great Change of Pace

by wasmik

I went to Andre's with my wife a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised by their unique menu. It is great to see a restaurant trying something different on the Eastside. If you want thai, then go get thai, if you want pho, then go and get pho. If you want something you can't get anywhere else, then go to Andre's. Their menu is filled with creative dishes which I would love to try the next time I go back. Keep up the great work Andre's!

Best Bistro on the Eastside

by chouser200

This is my favorite restaurant on the Eastside for a good meal, no fuss, seldom a wait, and great service. They have Asian-fusion down pat with many, many good entrees on the menu AND their baguette sandwiches are the best in the metro area!

  • Pros: menu, service, parking

Some dishes are good

by mitulmk

The appetizers are good - The spring rolls were very nice and different. The nan with garlic and olives was weak.

The entrees were not up to the mark. The vegetarian selection was limited, with no non-chicken broth soups. The Canton basket should be stayed away from. In general, the spices were unsure of themselves. The breaded eggplant was edible. The Siam wraps were quite good.

  • Pros: good parking.

Wonderful experience

by kittynana

It is interesting to me the previous complaints regarding service since I have never encounted this at Andre's. The food is wonderful and great place to take your European friends. A very diverse menu full of Asian and European choices. Everything from lamb, chicken, veggie choices, spring rolls, fish, wonderful hearty soups and elegant salads. This is a lovely lunch spot to impress your guests. Entrees apear to be straight out of Goumet or Bon Apetit magazine. Not a Chili's or Applebees!

  • Pros:  diverse menu, great presentation, wonderful food
