Best Fast Food Burgers in Greater Seattle by Rhoda B. at InsiderPages
Contributor at Insider Pages
This small local chain does a wonderful job of making fast food palatable. Their fries are pretty good, and their burgers and onion rings are marvelous. A baconburger with cheese and a peanut butter milkshake is my idea of caloric heaven. Their fresh fruit milkshakes, available in season, are great, too.
The menu has a fair amount of variety, with fried mushrooms and some chicken and veggie-burger sandwiches, as well as Kidd's Meals to please the little guys. Prices are good, and the food is made individually, when ordered.
The restaurant itself is tiny, with just a few booths, but it looks and feels right for the food, and it's usually busy.
PROS: Good burgers, great milkshakes
CONS: Wish they had a drive-through
Generous burgers with a side of nostalgia.

In Short
Kidd Valley was once just a humble burger shack in the U-Village neighborhood catering to college kids and 1950s nostalgia-seekers. Now it's a full-blown local chain with 10 locations and a list of fans that's as big as the phone book. For many, burgers act as merely an excuse to order the sweet french-fried onions, the fried mushrooms and the creamy fruit shakes. Some opt for the hot ham-and-Swiss or the grilled chicken sandwiches.
