Like the last reviewer, we were disappointed that the breakfast toast came unbuttered. The butter doesn't melt into toast unless it goes on when it's hot. We visited during a weekday, the room wasn't crowded, but it was noisy and hard to hear conversation. I think that's just the room, too many hard surfaces. The food was very good, though, the coffee good and the waitress refreshed our cups often. We will return to buy bread.
- Pros: Very good coffee
- Cons: Noisy, unbuttered toast
Unique menu, food was delicious!
by Lorri1
This small cafe attracts quite a crowd on a Sunday morning. We waited about 10 minutes for a table, with the hostess checking in with us twice to let us know our status.
The coffee was weak, but that aside, the food was wonderful. Attentive wait staff kept refills going of the weak coffee. I ordered the Quiche Lorraine; I've never seen anything like it -- had to be about 1/4 of the pie! It was freshly prepared and unparalleled to any quiche I've been served. It came with potatoes, toast and a small piece or two of fruit.
My husband ordered a smoked salmon omelette and it was also delicious. A few things that could have been better -- the toast is not buttered, it's a small thing admittedly...they leave it for the guest to do. I mentioned the weak coffee; due to the extraordinary number of guests there, the food was a bit delayed, but warm and tasty upon arrival.
My only real disappointment was not being able to be heard by the other couple we were with. I probably wouldn't go there again with that particular purpose in mind on a Sunday morning. But I will be back. And I say five stars for the food -- it is something to experience.
- Pros: Unique and affordable menu
- Cons: Busy and quite loud, hard to visit with friends
Mmmmm...simply delightful!

We frequent this establishment on a regular basis. The manager is very alert and accommodating to customer's needs. I am impressed with the quality of food and variety of entrees. You must try their desserts when you are finished with your main course. This place can get busy, so beat the lunch crowd and try to get there by 11:30 a.m.
- Pros: Food, bakery, service
Wonderful Breakfast

The best breakfast in Kent!!! I love the atmosphere and of course the food is delicious. A great addition to Kent. I will have to try lunch soon.
Best Breadfast Place in Washington. :).

What a beaufitull location in Historic area of Kent, WA. Interestingly designed with warm colors and local artist makes it comfortable to have a delicious cup of coffee while awaiting for your mouthdrulling smocked salmon omlet, and the best of it, a freshly backed bread & a side of warm butter. And as your getting close to be done with you dish a order of blincis covered with blueberry jam and a spoon of sower cream. Yam. Makes You wana be hungry for more. Wish I could find a place to relax and have a delicious breakfast like that in Bellevue, WA. :)
- Pros: Parking is excelent, excelent athmosphere
Eggs Benedict and so much more
by bladimir
I had heard about Wild Wheat form a friend and decided to sample the food there. I was whole heartedly impressed with not only the service , but thier array of various items on the menu. I had tried eggs benedict before and wasn't impressed, but decided to try my luck. I think I have found a new favorite food for breakfast. I would recommend this place who is wanting to eat a little more healthy, and watch thier budget as well. 5 stars overall
Best Independent Restaurant in Kent / Valley
by changnan
This is easily one of the best kept secrets in Seattle / Kent / Valley - great breakfast, really good bread (wild wheat - the same stuff you see at Whole Foods, PCC) amazing servers (really cute, nice girls all over the place) - zero attitude - fun service - great comfort food. The coffee and the bakery items are all roasted / made in house. Lots of local and fresh ingredients. The art on the walls is interesting but I'm not sure it's their high point.
It's usually busy so remember that as well. I've never had to wait for a table, but when we have it's been worth it. Great brunch and great lunch. No dinner...
- Pros: Serivce, Food, Coffee, Baked Items
- Cons: No dinner, far from Seattle/home,

Great Service, Excellent Food, Best pastries in the Puget Sound
by pnharker
I've been to this restaurant quite a few times and tried probably everything on the breakfast menu and lunch menu. I certainly like some things better than others, but have enjoyed everything I have tried. My favorite breakfast is the 3 egg omelette with the whole wheat toasted bread, but, again, they are all good. I've been there during busy and not-so-busy times and have had excellent service either way. Saturday mornings are busy and parking can be tight (but hey, a little walk after all those delicious carbs is probably a good idea). Weekdays I have never had a problem getting a spot within feet of the entrance. I don't live in the Puget Sound anymore, but make it a point to eat here whenever I am. Even when I'm staying at a hotel downtown. Seattle has a lot of great breakfast places and this one is definitely on par with them and better than most. I also spent a lengthy time in Europe and miss the pastry shops so having high quality pastries like Wild Wheat has is great.

I love this place.
Absolutely....my wife and myself go here every weekend. We can't get over this place. The food is great, the service is fast, and by now we know the waitstaff really well. They make us feel very comfortable. They know exactly what we eat, how we like it prepared....crab and asparagus omelete split between us, their great whole wheat hazelnut toast with currents.....and the pastries are to die for. Trust me people, the price is right, the food is great, the girls that work there are the very sweet...My wife personally likes the dessert case, the one filld with few of our favs....lemon tarts, hazelnut and chocolate cake, triple choc mousse cake....yummm...Go here!
- Pros: Fantastic food, great service, delicious pastries, fresh bread, organic everything!
- Cons: Parking sometimes, sometimes the noise but its not too bad...
