Worst Experience Ever
by dislema at Citysearch
I ordered my bridal gown here and had a nightmare of an experience trying to get it in on time. The owner was the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. She repeatedly lied to my face about when my dress would arrive and gave me the run-around for days. When I was in the store trying to sort out the mess, another bride walked in who had experienced the same thing. Unfortunately for her, she was getting her dress for the first time, on the week of her wedding.
- Pros: absolutely nothing
- Cons: unprofessional, unreliable

I visited the Bridal Garden today, and I LOVED it! The staff was so nice and helpful! I had an idea of what I was looking for, and the employees at the Bridal Garden all made me feel relaxed & happy. My wedding is coming up really soon, and the staff at the Bridal Garden showed me every dress that I could get in time for my wedding. One in particular that I am in love with. I plan on buying it this week! The girls are so nice, and they have the prettiest dresses.
- Pros: Beautiful dresses, helpful staff, good atmosphere.
- Cons: Parking
love the staff

I had the best time at The Bridal Garden. The girls felt like friends. I have so much going on with school that I felt to busy to enjoy this experience but once I was there I didn't want to leave! I definitely recommend buying your gown there.
- Pros: all the gowns are beautiful, hard to choose one
- Cons: What are the drawbacks?

I have been dreaming of shopping for my wedding dress since I was a little girl. You imagine this fabulous wonderful princess like experience and I am so lucky that I had that at the BRIDAL GARDEN!! As I understand the store is under new ownership and wow does she put her heart and soul into each bride. There was another bride at the same time as me in the store. The staff was so wonderful and attentive to each of us. They sure make you feel like you are a princess. They outfitted me from head to toe. Wonderful selection, shoes, tiaras and veils! I will back them 100%! Skip all the other stores and run don't walk to the Bridal Garden!
- Pros: Staff, Dress selection and Location
- Cons: I can't come up with one
The BEST customer service and the nicest staff!

I can't believe you latest two people are talking about the same place I visited - THREE TIMES! The Bridal Garden! bought my gown from them on my third visit after I visited shops throughout the area and while some of them are pretty shops - not ONE of them measured up to what I'd hoped for in choosing and buying my once in a lifetime purchase besides THE BRIDAL GARDEN!!!
The staff and owners were the most attentive and warm of any of the shops I visited. During each of my visits I had my mom and a couple of them I brought different bridesmaids with me. They treated each of us so great! I bought my gown and 8 bridesmaids gowns...one of my bridesmaids has gone back so she can have the same experience in buying her wedding gown and the others that aren't married yet want to go to The Bridal Garden when they get engaged.
If you want to make the most of the whole experience of buying your gown - you have to make time to visit The Bridal Garden. They give you over an hour to try on gowns and help with all your questions and concerns to make your choice.
They have such beautiful gowns and if you bother to visit other shops in the Seattle area, you'll find gowns less expensive, and lots MORE expensive, but you won't find the service you'd get at this shop I LOVE The Bridal Garden and will share my experience with anyone I know. I hope all future brides get to have such a memorable experience.
- Pros: Ambience
- Cons: Parking was tough, but the weather was gorgeous and the shop is right next to the lake!
Don't Go There...

All I can say is DITTO! After this most recent experience of purchasing a very expensive bridesmaid dress and to pick it up all wrinkled and with loose thread I was extremely dissapointed. I even called in the morning to let them know that I would be picking it up and no need to try it on (cause there was no way that I would be having them do my alterations!). When I showed up they rudely asked if I had an appointment and I informed them that I had called earlier to say that I was picking it up. After 10 minutes of waiting in the front while the woman who had helped me originally was then helping a bride in the back and the other woman who wrote the message on August 20th (who I do not know nor ever met, but was waiting very patiently in the lobby) finally brings out my dress and says, "HERE!" No thank you, no nothing. Needless to say, this was after my ordering experience was somewhat of a disaster and I was asked if I would be losing weight before the wedding that I was a bridesmaid and deciphering between a size 6 or 8! Overall, very rude, no customer service and a waste of your time and money.
- Pros: Beautiful gowns
- Cons: Everything, overall experience, very expensive
Painfully rude employees need training in customer service
by tigerteach99 at Citysearch
I was sent to the Bridal Garden as a bridesmaid to find dresses by a specific designer. They had her stuff so we tried it on, though we should have run from that place the minute we got there. The staff there has never had any training in customer service and clearly they all lack in general social graces. When you call on the phone they are short and rude. My friend called to ask sizing questions and was completely offended by the disrespectful woman on the phone. When I have called to check in about picking up my dress, they act as though they hardly have time for your call. During the appointment we had to try dresses on, I was literally (an painfully) clamped into the dress by an industrial strength clamp and received no apologies for the bruise that the experience left behind. I am frankly bummed that I had to give this horrendous shop any money and wish I could have purchased the same dress from a business that prides itself on being friendly and helpful. As a bride that just got married myself, I would never tell anyone to go to this shop if you want to enjoy the whole wedding experience. The Bridal Garden would surely leave a black mark on your entire process.
- Pros: They had the dresses my friend was eyeing.
- Cons: The customer service is hideous and I dreaded having to go in a second time.
Poor customer service

The first time I visited the Bridal Garden I was excited to look at their dresses because a friend of mine told me that they were very friendly and helpful. My first experience was very pleasant, and I looked forward to returning with my mom. I called and left a message on a Monday (they are closed Monday and Tuesday) requesting to make an appointment, and ended up having to call again on Wednesday to follow up and make the appointment. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very unhelpful, and it seemed like she was doing me a favor just by taking the call, but I managed to make the appointment in the end. When my mom and I entered the shop the owner and another assistant were busy with other people, but the owner and I made eye contact so I assumed that she would be with us shortly. While we waited to be acknowledged I began to show my mom the dresses I liked, and after a few minutes we stood right at the register so that they knew we were waiting to be served. Another five minutes passed, and again the owner looked over at us, and yet no one ever managed to smile or say something along the lines of, "We'll be right with you." It's one thing when a shop assistant is rude or unhelpful, but the owner? I refuse to spend thousands of dollars in a shop that doesn't appreciate me as a customer and so I will not be returning to the Bridal Garden.
Snobbery and rushed experience
by fairy26 at Citysearch
I have been to several couture bridal shops in Seattle and on the Eastside. I made an appointment with a friend of mine (who is also getting married) so we could try on some dresses at the same time. She arrived before I did. I waived at her when I came into the store and then I was told to immediately start picking out dresses and rushed back to a dressing room. By the time I had a moment to escape my friend had left. Turns out the sales people had told her "not to bother me" and to "leave me alone" when she had asked to come over to me and say hi and show me a dress she really liked. The staff never even bothered to ask if I would mind being interrupted. My friend tried to tell them we had scheduled the appointment together on purpose, they still would not show her where I was. They only let her try on 4 dresses and then told her the appointment was over they were about to rush me out of there after only three or four dresses but luckily my Mom and friends were hunting the racks for styles I might like. The dress selection was very poor compared to most shops. If you want unwarranted snobbery and, frankly, a very lacking selection of gowns try this spot. Otherwise, I recommend Marcella's La Boutique in Seattle. They carry better dresses and the staff is so awesome!
- Pros: Easy Location
- Cons: Poor service and eastside snobbery at its worst.
