I want to keep this place a secret.

I'm taking my girlfriend there for Valentines... I seriously think that highly of the place after only one visit. The first time was when my parents visited from out of town, and they loved it also. Presentation was the thing that WOWED me the most. But the flavors were interesting and pleasant enough, and the decoration of the place is upscale classic Thai. As others have said, the service does border on obsessive, especially if you are lucky enough to be there with only one or two tables occupied. The only downside is that parking is shared by that busy Starbucks and grocerystore near by. But hey, at least the parking is free!!

Oh and the price is very reasonable. Two thumbs up!

Terrible flavor, stale food

This is the worst Thai food I've ever had. Literally. The food tasted like it had been taken from the refridgerator and nuc'ed. I asked for very spicy and could not discern any flavor, let alone spice. It's a nice looking place and the service is friendly. But it's a restaurant. Bad food.

Hidden Gem

You'll get a surprise the first time you set foot in City Thai and see the extravagant decoration. The check will shock you as well, at how reasonable it is. The food is great and the service borders on excessive - I think I had my water glass refilled every 3 minutes. That quick service makes it a great place for lunch.

Mouthwatering thinking about it

I've been searching for the best Thai on the Eastside and I finally found it! The Chicken Phad Thai is delicious. The decor is beautiful and the service is great. The waitresses even dress up nice. I usually gauge my favorite Thai by the Thai iced tea, but haven't tried it yet.

• Pros: large portions, yummy, take-out is quick
• Cons: crowded sometimes
