In choosing a place to get my hair styled and colored I came across an ad for Marc Zanetto and got on the web to see what was being said. After reading the humorous piece on wanting to look like Reese Weatherspoon I had to go and have my hair done. I am thrilled with the cut and the color that Marc gave me. He is extremely nice to visit with and his family and outside interests are very interesting. His 13 year old dog is at the shop and is a really neat dog, plus he has horses and other pets to talk about while you are getting your hair done. I went into the shop trusting him to decide what style would work best with the things that I do and discussed what he thought would be good and what color would work. I am more than pleased with the results. I will be going back because it was a pleasure in having my hair done by Marc.
Pros: great experience - didn't know me and came in on his day off to do my hair

I was searching for a new place and found another Aveda Salon just down the street. I thought I would schedule a partial foil and cut on a friday afternoon so that I would look my best going out that night. How wrong I was. I left after arguing with Marc (Owner who also did my hair) and placed my hair in a ponytail. I was embarrassed of it. I brought in the latest picture of Reese Withersoon looking gorgeous after her recent breakup. I loved her color and her long hair with layers just around the face and bangs. NOT WHAT I GOT! First he foiled and that went fairly quickly. Quicker than normal but I chocked it up to him being fast. Did I mention it was a warm day and so he had the lights off? The foils looked like they turned out good. Not the exact ones Reese had but we were also trying to bring down my natural color so OK. Oh, and when he rinsed my hair (I have a lot) he just kept letting my neck fall on the sink hard. He provided no support and I was sore. Then he brushed my hair like a middle school boy would brush hair. Ripping through nots on my back and not taking them in his hand to gently untangle. And then the cut. He used zero technique. He just brushed my hair to my back and shoulders and blunt cut it across. Then for the layers. They weren't just around my face but back past my ears. And they weren't blended, they were blunt so I had stripes going. He made my bangs look like I'm back in the late 80s/early 90s and did I mention this was all done without technique?? He tousled my hair and continued to cut. Who does that? Isn't it more of a precise art than stabbing at my hair after you've tousled it? I asked him to correct it and he made it worse so I yelled STOP! He said maybe it was just how it was blown out and the way he combed it. Are you kidding me??? That should never be the issue. I paid for the color but not the cut. Now that I see the color in light at home, I am calling back this morning and asking for the refund.
Pros: They can fit you in anytime
Cons: You won't be happy with what you leave with
