I just happen to find this site, I don't recall a letter being sent home to respond but after reading the comments I felt I needed to respond. I've had various members of my family be a part of this daycare for many many years. The only time I had to find other care was when they were't able to offer infant care, but now they do. The environment is clean and safe and I love having the fire dept. next store. The teachers have all had extensive training, and are good with the kids very patient I might add as I know my child is very strong willed. I've always felt I could talk to the past and present Directors and Board members and feel very comfortable talking with them about any concerns that I may have knowing that they will listen, give guidance and address issues. I really want to stress that they have a wonderful preschool program here. I've always been very impressed at how young they start teaching the kids abc's and 123's at such an early age. The kids already know them before most kids actually start preschool. My other children were more then ready when it came time to start kindergarten and they were well ahead of the rest of the class. So if you ask me if I would reccomend this place I would say of course I do. I wouldn't trust my kids with just anyone. I'm very sadden to hear that others didn't have the same experience. You just have to wonder if those are the folks that tend to have the same type of experiences where ever they go. You really can't get a feel for a place unless you come check it out yourself which is what any person would do when it comes to finding quality care for their children. PROS: Save Loving Christian enviroment with security cameras installed, cheerful and clean classrooms, educated teachers, and a staff that promotes Diversity! Meals and snacks provided, conveniant hours for working parents.

My two children have been going there part time since my 5 year old was a toddler. I have found the teachers there to be personable, kind, attentive and loving. My daughter enjoys the preschool program there, she has learned so much and loves all the art projects they do. Because we are only there part time, my toddler son is sometimes apprehensive to leave me and go in, but his teacher is right there with open arms and a big smile. He goes to her and is happy for the rest of the day! Sometimes when I go to pick them up, they don't even want to go home, so that is a good sign right there! From what I have seen through the years, this establishment strives to provide a safe, loving environment for the kids and is always open to any constructive feedback or criticism, if done an appropriate way.
Pros: Bright & cheerful classrooms, outdoor play, wonderful staff

Our son has been attending Precious for 2.5 years. Our daughter has been attending Precious for 1 year. We have had a positive experience and feel their care is very good. The preschool teachers are great. Our son has been learning a lot to prepare him for kindergarten this September. We switched our daughter from one daycare to Precious, one reason was the lower cost. The multiple child and paying by the first discounts are really helpful. I normally pick up my children each day. If the teacher doesn't know me they check my ID, even though my kids are all over me calling me mommy! If they didn't check my ID I would be concerned... but they do. There are security cameras at the doors and in the hallways. I think the directors have tried to think ahead and meet the needs of families. They accept infants and open new classrooms as the need arises. Staff turnover is a reality of any business. People get new jobs and life changes happen. I recommend Precious to parents that want their children to be in a loving Christian environment.

I think this is an awesome environment for my pre-K son. They have a Kindergarten curriculum and since he started one year ago, he has learned to read, write and do simple addition among other things. His teacher is an actual certified teacher. They also have before and after school care for kindergarten, and they assist the kids on and off the bus. I have some concerns for my younger son, and although I favor sites like this, I think it is completely inappropriate to post negative comments without taking the issue to the director and then to the board, and attempting resolution there before making complaints here. I highly recommend this daycare for children 4 and up, the price is better or below the average for the area and when you compare the fact that they have real teacher, scheuled activities, and christmas and summer programs, it is a real deal compared to the back room with dirty toys most childcares I interviewed at will provide. They also have a 10% family discount for multiple kids and a 5% discount if you pay monthly instead of weekly. Their website is wwwDOTctrfDOTcom
Pros: ACTUAL teacher, hours 6:30A-6:30P, lots of staff so no sick days, Great playground
Cons: Must communicate your concerns to director directly, who is only available during business hours when you are at work.

The Letter: Yes, we were given a letter notifying us that negative comments had been made online and asking that we report our positive experiences to counteract their impact. I don't see any problem with them letting us know that this was happening, and I seriously doubt that anyone who disliked the care their child was receiving would somehow be moved to defend the place. Think about it: If someone lit a fire and all of us agreed with how horrible things were, that's what you'd be reading here. What possible motivation would a disgruntled parent have to get online, register for an account, and then write a sunshine-filled lie? Security: The comments below about the place's security are ridiculous. The main entrance is covered by a camera, and children aren't just handed over to anyone who comes in. I came in later than usual one evening to find that a teacher I didn't know was watching my daughter - she was really friendly to me, but was in no way going to let me take my little girl until someone who knew me okayed it! Accidents: In a full year, I've had only one accident report, and that one was so tiny that I was amazed they did the paperwork - I had to look long and hard to even see what they said was wrong. I would always rather have them write too many than try to play physician and guess which injuries we should know about. Billing: I'm a professor at a local Christian university, so my schedule is all over the place. The director worked with me, even finding me the best ways to save money on the overall bill. Shop around - their rates are completely in line with comparable services. Language: Yes, a couple of teachers have English as a second language, but they are in no way incomprehensible, and they aren't the ones in charge of language acquisition! The teachers are phenomenal and the facilities are well-maintained.
Pros: Specialized Attention, Well-Regulated and Maintained, My daughter loves her teachers!
Cons: None

OK - I have read the whole range of postings here. Over the last 9 years I have interviewed well over 45 daycares in the OC, CA and in the Lynnwood, WA area. So needless to say I have seen it all. The number one thing I can say is know what you are looking for and understand that this is a business. If you are looking for a place that has an amazing balance of the love and special attention of an in-home facility and the education and structure of the more formal establishments PCCP is the place for you! Understand that they follow Health codes and even error on the side of caution. Frustrating if your kid is sick. They even let you know when certain things are going around so that you are aware. Also they are required to give reports if your child hurts another kid or gets hurt- I think the number depends on the kid- I don't get them a lot. Like all businesses - turn over comes in waves. This is a reality, what I like about PCCP is that you see welcome signs and fairwell so that as parents we know what is going on. Also if you don't pay your bill or give notice it will be a problem (though I find them VERY reasonable). This is a facility that is dedicated to meeting the needs of the community. They opened up to infants at the request of many mothers who noted the need for infant care. My daughter was there first baby a little over a year ago. She LOVES not just the daycare- but her teachers They recently opened up a new classroom, once again due to the overwhelming need in the community. This move was done to meet the childcare demands and to aid the children in potty training. Every decision this place makes is based on the kids and community. There are always going to be some percentage of parents that are not going to be happy at a particular facility or any facility. All I can tell you is that I feel that my children are VERY SAFE (love the fact that the fire dept. is next door), VERY LOVED and that I would strongly recommend PCCP.
Pros: Love and Caring, Open door with director, Kind patient teachers, Food included, They will help potty training, reasonalble rates, great communication
Cons: My son sometimes doesn't want oatmeal for breakfast

Precious Childcare and Preschool is by far the best child care I could ever hope for to give my child... I recently adopted a child abroad and I think that this child care that she is receiving at Precious Childcare has helped her get to where she is now...She has completely adjusted! Since enrolling her there I have noticed HUGE positive changed in her motor skills, social skills, language skills, creative skills! This is an amazing place! I am so grateful for all the special care she gets there every day.... As a single mom, this was the one thing I worried most about...Daycare, cost, and finding a trusting loving place....Precious Childcare has all the above....I feel so lucky to have found such a place...Bringing her there is the best thing I could have ever done...She is leaps and bounds ahead of other 2-3 year olds...She talks about her teachers and little friends all the time and asks about them when she is not at daycare... The staff are all wonderful, the atmoshphere is amazing, and the office staff and daycare coordinator is phenomenal! Thank you for everything! My child is so happy there and I am too!

I am a relatively "new" parent at PCCP compared to some of the other posts (my daughter has only been there a year) but I am happy to say that this facility is wonderful and my daughter and I both love everything about it. In response to the teachers not speaking English I don't know where that is even coming from. Myself, my husband, and my parents pick my daughter up every day and have never had any problems communicating with the teachers to see where she left a sweatshirt or a jacket as they do get taken of during the day. On that same note my husband has had to show ID almost every time he has picked up our daughter because he is the one who picks her up the least and the teachers don't know him as well as myself or my parents! I find the staff to be amazing! I haven't really noticed an inconsistency with the teachers. When I drop her off in the morning I see the same ladies everyday to greet us. Occasionally my daughter doesn't want me to leave in the morning and they are always there to help and make me leaving go smoothly and tear free, which is always a plus. I find the learning program there to be amazing! When my child switched day cares I didn't even realize how much she wasn't learning at her old facility. Very shortly after she started at PCCP she learned her ABC's and was starting to grasp her number and counting! I was thrilled! Recently she has started to learn how to write her name! I think that is just wonderful! I have to say that in my year or so experience I have a couple of instances when we had to delay our payment by a week or so and Lorena has always been very understanding and willing to work with us so that our daughter could stay enrolled! I find the accident reports at PCCP to be very helpful, at our previous daycare these were not even provided. My daughter has had 2 the whole time she was there and both time they were just that, accidents. People need to understand kids will be kids and these things happen. PCCP is wonderful!
Pros: Loving Staff, Good Learning Environment, Flexible
Cons: None!

Precious Childcare is TOPs!! I am a working mom of 3 children. For the last 2 plus years -- I've had at least two of my children attending Precious Childcare full-time. This facility has been a blessing to my family -- my children are taught respect and kindness every day. My children understand that there is a time for fun and a time for learning. This facility has the BEST staff. Many of the teachers are currently studying early childhood education. I have paid for childcare for the last 8 years -- and Precious CC is the only facility where I've received such a fair payment structure -- if we're on vacation -- we don't have to pay for that week. Plus our payments include extremely nutritious snacks and meals. My kids do school work and fantastic art and science projects on a daily basis. The staff is respectful of each other, the parents, and the children. WE LOVE PRECIOUS CHILDCARE -- and feel comfortable recommending it to any of our friends-- and the general public.
Pros: Staff, Class Room Management, Play Area, Activities in Classroom, Food, Families that are part of the school
Cons: None

My children's time at Precious Childcare has been incredible. My daughter started in the toddler room at 14 months. She was crawling and very high maintance as she had never been away from Mommy before. The teachers were so wonderfully patient with her. She, as well as the other toddlers, were given lots of attention and the teachers even "walked laps" around the classroom with her, holding her little hands as she learned to walk. My son started at 3 years old in the preschool program and although he wasn't as high maintance as his litte sister he too had never been away from me and was quite emotional at first. The teachers were very understanding and showed him love and helped him cope with the seperation. Within 2 weeks, both kids were adjusted and excited for daycare. They have been attending now for almost five years and I have nothing negative to say about any of the staff or director. The staff is absolutely wonderful and very loving, generous with hugs and attention. Academics are stressed in the preschool program and the five year old class is structured much like a kindergarten class. My son learned to read in the class and is now the best reader in his first grade class. The children are taught the Bible every day in all the classes, they sing together, create works of art each day, and are learning much more than just reading and writing. I have never been wary of the security there, there are cameras at all the entrances as well as the infant room and ID's are ALWAYS checked from my observations. The daycare offers an exciting summer program including field trips that my son can not wait for. I have and will continue to recommend Precious Child Care and Preschool to any parent. p.s. As a side not, part of the reason the mother may have recieved so many "incident/accident" reports for her twins can be attributed to the fact that the staff documents EVERYTHING in writing which shows the attention they pay and how well parents are informed!
Pros: Loving Teachers, Great communication with Parents, A+
