Fantastic!
by BHMclean at Citysearch
I have never had better Hamachi! This restaurant is a treasure. The service is superb & neighborhood friendly. The food is outstanding. We had their Black Cod & it was the best. The sushi was as fresh as I've ever had. The friends who took me there go weekly & say it is always terrific. I can't wait to go back.
- Pros: Fresh Sushi, Good parking, Inexpensive
Best Sashimi I've Ever Had
by AlohaMele at Citysearch
The first time I tried this restaurant--I thought it was only okay, but then we went back and I had their sashimi. I was sold. The fish was so fresh and really tasty. I just closed my eyes and savored every last morsel.
The portions are light (they only give one bowl of rice with dinner, but I guess they would give more if you asked), but we enjoy the sashimi so much that we don't care. We wouldn't complain if they gave more--but the portions are enough for us. If you are a big eater though, you might want to order some appetizers or sushi on the side. A lot of people rave about their sushi.
Prices are okay. Definitely not cheap, but I thought they gave better value than the Japanese place on the south end of the island, which is a lot more expensive.
The place is easy to get to. Just off I-90, next the RiteAid. Lots of free parking.
- Pros: good sushi. good sashimi. hot towels. easy parking. convenient.
- Cons: closes early (8:30pm). closed Sundays and Mondays.
Fresh But Average Sushi
by MarkWA65 at Citysearch
The sushi was fresh but average, and the the prices were slightly above what I thought I should be paying for average sushi. But it is Mercer Island after all so everything is a few pennies more than say Tukwilla. The wait staff was friendly and the other people eating there seemed to be enjoying themselves very much. The address in citysearch and my GPS are WRONG!!!! they were at 3033 78th near Rite Aid, if you go to the 2440 76th address you will wander around aimlessly. All in all I don't think I will brave the traffic at rush hour to eat here again, although if I were a local I think I would stop in from time to time.
- Pros: Friendly wait staff, good lighting, clean
- Cons: hard to find, wrong address everywhere I looked
B*E*S*T Japanese food in town!
by roisin at Citysearch
This small family-run business is the BEST in town. Located right off of I-90, it's convenient and there is always available parking. I love their sushi! They have the best california and spicy tuna rolls I've ever had. Never liked sushi before Haruko's...
And each meal starts with a hot washcloth for your hands. Love that!
- Pros: Parking, Great Service
